"Guardians," Vix began, "you were all gathered here today, in order to properly honor one of your own. You are to congratulate her, and show her your utmost respect, for her title is about to become far greater than your own." Vix bent down and held his hand out in front of the women. "Cecilia Lunar, please step forward."

Cecilia obeyed and climbed onto the tips of Vix's fingers. Vix lifted her up in front of the others, and presented her to them as he spoke.

"Cecilia Lunar, Guardian of the Night's Moon and Stars, has done something remarkable in my eyes. Refusing to give into temptation, Cecilia put her personal opinions aside to save the marriage of two very important and powerful individuals. She is dutifully fulfilling the role of a Guardian, the role that the rest of you have effectively failed in embracing." Subtle gasps and murmurs could be heard from the other Guardians after Vix's bold statement.

Failed? Elwin thought, still kneeling like the others. Vix continued his speech.

"In light of these recent events, I have decided to promote Cecilia. Guardian of the Night's Moon and Stars no more, Cecilia Lunar is now to be known as the Guardian of the Night's Moon and Stars, as well as the Guardian of Marital Union. She is to be a role model to all mortal women, and an object of inspiration to every individual in general, including her fellow Guardians." After Vix stopped talking, the room fell silent. This was the first time a Guardian had ever been promoted.

"Congratulations Cecilia," Adaliah spoke up, "Guardian of the Night's Moon and Stars, ruler of all marital unions. You have my sincerest compliments." Elwin could detect the deceitful nature in her tone of voice.

"Congratulations Cecilia, Guardian of the Night's Moon and Stars, ruler of all marital unions." Raanan chimed in.

The rest of The Guardians took turns congratulating Cecilia until at last it was time for Lexus to praise her. Lexus, being the only other person still standing, walked towards Cecilia, who stood comfortably on Vix's hand. He then threw out his arms in adoration.

"Guardian Cecilia, my sweet sister! Blood of my blood, beloved kin, born from the same star as I, how you have made me proud!" Lexus cheered. "Vix, might I propose we consecrate this special moment by bestowing a new title on Cecilia's most deserving brother as well?"

"You wish for me to promote your responsibility, Lexus?" Asked Vix. This wasn't the first time Lexus proposed such a thing.

"But of course. It's only fair, isn't it, Vix?" Lexus' countenance displayed the true nature of his intentions with a sly smirk he was unable to control. Vix did not respond. "If I were to become a greater Guardian, the safety of this realm would be ensured, if not inevitable!" Lexus gestured with his hands while speaking.

"Lexus, mark my words. You are not worthy of more power. You are already in possession of far more authority than you deserve. Do not speak of this again." Vix was calm and steady while he spoke. Lexus however, was all but calm, as he Ignored Vix's warning, and continued to press his creator.

"You make this much more complicated than it needs to be, my creator. Bestow upon me a greater title, and give me what I rightfully deserve!" He demanded. Lexus' words were indeed very disrespectful, but to Vix, they were to be expected.

"Such insolence." Vix shook his head. "What would you have me do? Am I to call you over and crown you the guardian of hubris?" Elwin chuckled at Vix's remark, and the rest of The Guardians began to snicker. "Why should I promote you when you have already taken such responsibility upon yourself, Lexus, Guardian of the Summer and Spring?"

Elwin flinched when he heard Vix mention his season. He had completely forgotten about the deal he made with Lexus, when he gave him full control over the spring.
