~"Her Girl"~

I cough, the feeling making my chest tighten, and I feel purring against my chest. I open my eyes slightly, brightness overtaking them as I look around the room I'm in. The guest bedroom. Lucifer curls up against my chest. I pet his head, and the door opens. Diane. I scowl at the sight of her, and see her carrying a tray of food. "Hey y/n. I uh..brought you food." Diane says as she walks in slowly, setting the food down carefully. Lucifer hisses at her. "Calm down now.." Diane whispers as she retreats to the door. "Mildred will be in here a in a little to replace your bandage.." she says quietly. Mildred, that's her girls name. I nod my head, and she walks out.

Lucifer lays next to me as I rest up against the headboard, eating the delicious food. This sure as hell ain't Dianes cooking, but it's good. "Hello y/n. I'm Mildred." Mildred says with a nod as she walks in. She is quite stunning, but I'm not gonna let myself fall. "Hello." I Mutter plainly. "I just need to change your bandage." Mildred says with a nod. "I know." I say. She comes closer, and Lucifer hisses. "Shh Lucifer." I shh against my own will. I feel her messing with something on the side of my head, and I can see Lucifer staring up at her, watching her every move. "So, how's Diane in bed." I say plainly, a slight smirk on my face. Mildred pauses for a minute, before going back to work. "I don't feel that is an appropriate question for right now. You should know, shouldn't you?" Mildred adds on. "No, I wouldn't, considering she hasn't had sex with me in months." I say with an eye roll. "That's not my fault." She retorts. "Yes it is. And you know it is. After this, I'll be away from you two." I say, my hand resting on Lucifer. "As much as I want to argue with you on that topic, you and I are both not in the state for that. Now, finish up your food and lay back down." Mildred says as she steps back. I roll my eyes and continue eating.

After Mildred had left I heard her and Diane discussing something, probably about me. I sigh as I set down the tray of food, and lay down. Lucifer curls up with me comfortably, before purring himself in to sleep. If only I could go to sleep as fast as him. A million thoughts race my mind in a second. I close my eyes when I hear the door open, then close. I hear the familiar sound of Diane's soft footsteps, and she leans over me. And lays a soft and gentle kiss on my forehead. "I still love you sweet girl..I always will." Diane mutters, broken obviously. She lays one last kiss on my temple, and that's enough to force me into a deep and lulled sleep.
