"Y/n I'm sorry dear but could you come here?" I hear Mildred call from the kitchen. I turn my head away from Diane's ear. "Give me a Minute!" I answer back before drawing away a little. I look in Diane's glossy eyes. "Will you be fine if I go to Mildred for a little?" I ask softly, wiping a tear that goes to fall. "Mhm.." she mutters, sniffling once. "No more crying okay?" I say as I lean in and kiss her nose. "Okay." She says with a nod. "I'll be back." I mutter as I stand up. She just nods and sits there, picking her nails.
I walk into the kitchen and I can't help but admire how Mildred looks in her uniform. After quitting at the mental asylum, a few years ago she got a job at a nice hospital. Diane had told me. "You Look hot." I blurt out before thinking. Mildred let's a chuckle pass by her soft lips as she turns around to me. "Thank you dear. Okay, so since I have work I'm gonna need you to do a favor." She says with a smile. "Okay..?" I say softly. "Make sure Diane gets some sleep, and make sure she doesn't cry any more." Mildred says as she walks up and cups my cheeks. I smile as she pulls me forward, into a hug. "I will." I say with a nod. "Thank you dear, now I have to go say bye to Diane." She says, pulling away and laying a soft kiss between my eyebrows. "You know you can kiss me.." I mutter. "Yes I know dear. But, I'm not going to cause any boundaries to go up. I want to build a sense of trust with you." Mildred whispers with a smile. "Your so nice." I say with a smile, and she just winks at me before walking off.
I watch her say bye to Diane, before walking over to me again. "I love you dear." She says, pressing a kiss between my eyebrows again. "I like you a lot too I guess.." I say with an eye roll. "Whatever, have fun girls." Mildred says with a chuckle, walking out as she blows a kiss to both of us. "Now. I know we aren't on the best terms but Mildred asked a favor of me, and I wouldn't dare to not do it. Her instructions were to make sure you slept, and didn't cry anymore." I say with a sigh, walking over to Diane. "Alright." She says with a nod. "Cmon then, you do need rest." I say as I grab her hand to help her up. She smiles lightly as I lead her to her bedroom. I push her onto the bed, eliciting a chuckle from Diane. "I appreciate it." She says with a smile. "Well, you wouldn't have laid down if I wouldn't have pushed you. Now sleep." I demand as I lay a kiss on her forehead and tuck her in. "Well how is thy supposed to sleep without thou?" She asks with a smile. "Figure out how to." I say with an eye roll. "Whatever." She says with a groan as she turns over away from me. I roll my eyes as I climb in behind her and cuddle into her.
"I still hate you." I mutter as I wrap my arms around her waist. "I know." She says with a nod. "Sleep well Diane." I say with a content sigh. "Sleep well to." She says with another nod before nodding off.
Just me and my mind all to themselves now.
