I wake up groggily, laying on what I assume to be Mildred. I open my eyes, and look up to Mildred's eyes. She holds a book on my back, reading as her brows furrowed together. She realizes me and looks down at me, flashing a warm smile. "Good morning sleepy head." Mildred says with a smile, her voice raspy. "Morning to you too." I say with a smile back, stretching. "Your voice is so cute." She mumbles, closing her book and putting it down on the nightstand. "What's that smell?" I Mutter, ignoring her. "Diane is making breakfast. Your favorite, pancakes." She says, closing her eyes and resting her hand on my hair. I smile in this moment, laying my head on her chest appreciatively.
"Breakfast is done girls." Diane's voice basically whispers as she peeks in the door. "Alright Diane, we will be out in a minute." Mildred says back, before her eyes averted to me as if to say that she's stuck for a little. I Look at Diane and she smiles fondly at I think the memory that fills both of our heads.
I laugh, pleading for her to stop tickling me. "Stop Diane! St..op!" I yell out through fits of laughter. "Never!" Diane yells back with a smile, and I just wiggle more. Suddenly, she stops. She falls back behind me, laying down on her back on our bed. "Praise the lords." I mutter, chest heaving. "Whatever, now get your sassy ass up here." Diane says, pointing to her chest. I smile as I crawl up on her, and rest my head on her chest. Her hand runs through my hair softly, lulling me to sleep.
My smile fades slightly, as I feel Mildred get up. I watch her back as she discards of her night clothes, and slides on leggings and a shirt. I stand up and run towards her closet, searching through it. "Hey!" Mildred yells. "Shush." I say with an eye roll, grabbing out the first hoodie I see and turning around to take off my tank top. I slide on the hoodie, and just stay in my pajama pants. Before Mildred can stop me I'm running downstairs and in the dining room, sitting down quickly. I sit at the seat farthest from Diane. "Where's Mildred?" Diane asks sleepily. "She's coming." I say as I hear her thud down the stairs, and appear in the doorway. "Good morning my love." Mildred says as she walks up to Diane, and grabs her chin. She looks in her eyes before turning her chin the other way. "Morning.." she replies. "What time did you wake up? Be honest." Mildred says, a stern looking going over her face. "Five.." she mumbled. "You're going back to sleep after this you hear me? And you are not going to cry yourself to sleep again. I will come in there and stare at you until you stop. No cuddles or anything." Mildred warns. "Ok.." Diane whispers as she looks down. Mildred presses a kiss right between her eyes before coming over to me.
She does the same thing, making sure nothing had happened to me. "When did you cry last night?" Mildred asks with a confused look. "When we were laying there..I don't know why." I say with a shrug. "Alright, you better not cry again tonight." Mildred says, and presses a kiss against the same place she had with Diane. "Alright." I say with a nod. "Now, I don't want you two fighting. I want to remain a calm and peaceful environment, and we can discuss situation and what y/n wants to do later" She says, before sitting down and smoothing out her clothes. "Got it." I say with a nod. "Mhm." Diane mumbles. We eat silently, until Diane pipes up. "Hey y/n?" She asks. "Hm?" I answer back. "Could I..get a hug? You don't have to, I just want a hug." Diane says with a sniffle, and then I realize she had been crying. "Sure." I Mutter as I stand up and walk over to her, pushing her chair back and sitting down on her lap. I wrap my arms around her and snuggle my head in her auburn hair, and breath in the scent all too familiar. I missed this. I hear Diane let out a little sob, muffled by Mildred's hoodie. "I'll go put up dishes." Mildred says, before walking over and rubbing Diane's back. She leans down and kisses each of our foreheads, before going off.
I continue to hold onto Diane, and her cries quiet down slowly. "I'm sorry..I'm so sorry my sweet girl. I never meant to ruin any of our relationship.." Diane begs. "I don't forgive you. I could see a possibility of me doing so in the future, but me not forgiving you doesn't mean I should ignore you and argue with you." I say on her shoulder. I hear her breath a sigh of relief. "Thank you." Diane mumbles. "For what?" I ask curiously.
"For just holding me"
