I groan, when Diane shakes me awake. "Honey, you've gotta answer the door. The police are here. You have to claim that neither of us are here, they are going to ask to search the house. Make sure they have a warrant and if they do, don't worry, we will be hiding out far away from here. But I promise my sweet girl I will be back. Just please help us. For me." Diane begs basically. "Yea fuck..I'll help." I say as I stand up quickly, awoken quite quickly with that news. I rush downstairs, following Diane.

I rub my eyes and answer the door, a scruffy looking police officer there. "Morning officer." I say with a sign as I rub my eyes. "Good morning. I just came to ask a few questions.." he starts, pulling out a note pad. "Alright, throw them at me. I just woke up so if I'm slurring my words that's my reason. If you don't believe me, you can use the breathalyzer" I grumble as I rub my eye again. He lets out a chuckle. "I don't think anyone would drink this early. It's alright, I understand. Now, is there a Diane Sherman living in this house? Or even in this local area, within 5 miles." He asks. "Diane who now?" I ask, having heard him very clearly. "Diane Sherman." He repeats. "Isn't that the psycho lady who escaped from that mental institute?" I ask with a chuckle. "Yes..we are trying to find her and Mildred ratched. Have you seen her or anything either?" He asks. "Ive heard about that Diane girl but that Mildred lady I don't know her at all. I heard from you know the town rumor was that she passed through here. But, I didn't see her directly." I say, motioning my hands slightly as I talk. "Okay..thank you. Could we search your house?" He asks as he peaks in. "Do you have a search warrant?" I retort back. "Yes we do." He says with a nod. "Sure. I do have a cat though, his name is Lucifer. This house was built in 1902..bit worn down, and I just bought it. Has a few creaky floors, if your not careful you could fall into my dungeon!" I say with a giggle. "Oh no! How scary." He feigns shock as he walks in and peaks around slightly. "I think the history is that two lovers lived in this house, that they were gay and were split up by a tragic affair." I say as I walk around as well, making up a story out of my own life. "Oh..how sad." He mutters. "Yea..I haven't touched either of their rooms. Want to preserve all the precious jewelry and stuff in there." I say as I follow him up stairs. "That's sweet." He says with a nod. He peaks around a bit more, before concluding it was safe. Lucky on his part he didn't run into Lucifer.

"Well, thank you for your time young lady. I appreciate it." He says with a nod. "It's no Problem." I say with a nod. He turns and walks down the stairs, climbing into his vehicle and driving off. I sigh as I close the door, and slump down on it, sitting on the floor as my knees reach my chin. What a fucking close call. Before I know it tears are streaming down my face for no reason, and the back door opens. "We're back." I hear Diane's sweet voice. I smile, as my eyes get droopy. Why am I so tired all the time? Ever since Mildred was brought into the situation I've been tired. I groan as I fall asleep slowly, last thing I see is Mildred's ever so stunning face. Wait what?! She isn't stunning. Not one bit. Uh uh. Nope. She isn't. Nope.

She isn't. And won't ever be. Right?
