"You don't remember?"

She shook her head. "Come to think of it, I can't remember anything. It's all just... black."

'Huh. I guess gems can have amnesia,' Steven thought to himself. 'I wonder if there's a way to get her memories back.'

-

They exited the bubble room... or tried to.

The gem ended up being way taller than the door frame and had to practically crawl through the door.

-

Steven was deep in thought as he led her outside the beach house.

The gem tilted her head. She looked at the night sky, watching as the stars twinkled back at her.

"It's so pretty.."

She reached her hand upwards, almost as if she was reaching for the stars.

Steven wandered around the beach, wondering where he could have this mystery gem stay.

He thought...

Steven had a feeling that this gem was in a bubble for a reason, so was pretty sure the gems wouldn't take too kindly to her out of said bubble.

So the temple was definitely out of the question.

Could she stay with Vidalia and her family? No, that wouldn't work because Vidalia might tell Amethyst.

What about his dad? No, Greg would definitely tell the gems. Besides, he didn't think she would fit in the van anyways.

He'd need some place nice and empty, where no one really enters.

Then it hit him.

The Lighthouse!

No one ever goes in there - not even the gems. Plus, it's super close to the temple.

It's the perfect hiding place.

-

They entered the lighthouse. Steven coughed, accidentally inhaling some of the dust floating around in the air.

It was dim, but not as dark as the bubble room.

Steven can make it work. With some lights, rugs, and a place to lay down, it'd be a lot more homey.

"What is this place?" The gem asked, ducking through the door.

"This is the lighthouse," Steven answered. "No one ever comes in here, so it's the perfect place to stay."

The gem looked around, before eventually shrugging. "It's better than being in a bubble."

She made herself comfortable in a corner, sitting with her legs up against her chest.

"Okay, I have to go now, but I'll visit you tomorrow." Steven told her. "I promise."

He got up to leave, brushing the dust off his pajamas. He opened the door to the lighthouse, letting moonlight flood in from the outside.

"Pink."

He stopped in his tracks. He looked at the gem confusedly. "Huh?"

"My name. I just remembered it. It's Pink."

Steven seemed a bit surprised, but quickly smiled. "Well it's nice to meet you Pink."

He waved her goodbye, before closing the door behind him.

She rested her head in her arms, hoping he'd be back soon.

...She didn't like being alone.
