Pink sat on the warp pad, utterly bewildered.

She had no idea what in the stars just happened.

One second, she was in the beach house, and the next, she was... wherever she was.

It seemed like she was somewhere in the middle of the forest.

She pushed herself off the ground, looking around.

Tall trees were all around her, and she could hear the chirping of birds and the skittering of small rodents.

Wherever she was, she wanted to get as far away from the warp pad as possible.

-

Steven was beyond the point of panic. He was barely able to hide it when got back to the beach house.

When he got back, he noticed Garnet and Amethyst were on the warp pad.

"Where are you guys going?" He questioned, although he was pretty sure he already knew the answer.

"Nowhere important, Steven." Garnet answered. "We're just going out to catch the gem."

"Everything's fine, dude." Amethyst agreed.

Steven clenched his fists. He couldn't let them hurt Pink.

"Wait!"

Garnet turned around. "Steven, we've talked about this. You're too young to be going on missions-"

"That's not what this is about!" Steven exclaimed. Tears began to run down his face. "You can't hurt her!"

Garnet's eyes widened, although you couldn't see it beyond her visor.

Amethyst suddenly remembered what Pink had said when they were in Fish Stew Pizza.

"Hold on... She did say that she knew Steven," She spoke.

"She did? Why am I just hearing about this?" Garnet looked down at Amethyst, crossing her arms.

The smaller gem shrugged. "I forgot."

"What did she say, exactly?" Garnet asked.

"I dunno, something about Steven warning her that people were after her."

Garnet turned to Steven, kneeling down in front of him. "Steven, have you been hiding this gem from us?" She asked gently.

Steven averted his eyes. "I'm sorry..." he murmured. "But please don't hurt her."

Garnet sighed. "Steven, I know your intentions are good, and I'm happy that you're so willing to help, but this gem... this gem is a really bad gem."

Steven didn't believe it. Pink was one of the kindest people he's ever met, even if he's only known her a few months.

"Steven." Garnet repeated. "I want you to answer truthfully. Where did you find her?"

Steven let out a sigh and he looked down. "I found her gem in the bubble room. I kept having dreams about her... I just wanted to know what was going on. I never meant to lie to you guys."

"It's okay, Steven. You're not in trouble. But we still do need to catch her." Garnet stated, standing up and turning to the warp pad.

"Garnet, wait. Please," Steven pleaded. "You didn't see her when she first came out of that bubble."

Garnet looked at him, gesturing for him to go on.

"She was terrified," Steven began to explain. "She was confused and scared, and she didn't remember anything, and she still doesn't. She barely remembers her own name." Steven wiped his tears away with his arm before continuing.
