Steven carefully carried his bike down the steps. That is until the ground started shaking and made him accidently drop it.

He quickly ran after it as it slid down the steps, but it ended up riding into the sand.

“I don't think they are earthquakes,” he heard Pearl say as they approached. “They're too frequent.”

The bike crashed into the sand just ahead of them, catching their attention.

“Hey look. Steven's got a bike.”

“Amethyst, he's had that bike for like forever.”

“Oh,” Amethyst shrugged. “Where are you going, Steven?”

“Just for a ride!” The boy answered.

“In the sand?” Pearl questioned.

“Yup!”

Steven rolled his bike past them.

Steven hopped on his bike and rode in the sand.

Or, well, tried too.

He grunted as he attempted to make his way through the grainy sand, but it wasn't working very well.

He looked ahead, seeing a girl with glasses reading a book in the shade.

Steven continued his attempt of riding through the sand, managing to make it a little ways past her.

He got off his bike and kicked down the kickstand.

“Sm-smooth ride,” he said, trying to get her attention.

He looked back at her, and she was still reading.

He turned back to his bike. “Five speeds… hand brakes… electric-blue finish with a tiger bell…” He rang the bell, looking back at the girl.

She was still reading her book, not even acknowledging him.

Steven wasn't about to give up though.

He got on his bike. “I bet there are a lot of kids who'd love to ride this ba–”

He let out a yell as the bike toppled over with him on it.

He looked up, seeing the girl now staring at him.

He felt his face flush from embarrassment.

He threw his helmet to the ground and sprinted away, leaving the girl confused.

He ran back into the beach house, panting, seeing the gems looking at him from the window.

“Uhh… sup?”

“Who were you talking to?” Pearl asked.

“Huh?”

“That girl,” Garnet clarified.

“You saw!?” Steven panicked, his cheeks going red, before calming down. “She's just a girl I know… Except she doesn't know me.”

He looked down. “We've never talked.”

Amethyst gasped, rushing over to him. “You like her!” She exclaimed, smushing his face.

“Uh… I like everyone.”

“Let's set up a playdate!” Pearl said gleefully. “I'll write up an invitation and work out a schedule! Oh, we'll have to find out her favorite kind of tea…”

“What if she doesn't like tea?” Pink raised a brow.

Pearl scoffed. “Everyone likes tea!” She said.
