Steven and Amethyst panted as they ran towards the Fry shop, Pink behind them with her hands in her pockets.
"Hey Fryman! Give me the bits!" Steven told Mr. Fryman, the owner of the fast food joint.
"Steven, we're closed," Mr. Fryman said, flipping over the sign hanging on the window.
"Awww, what?" Steven asked, disappointed.
"I told you guys," Pink remarked, crossing her arms.
"Give him the bits!" Amethyst exclaimed, slamming her fists down on the counter repeatedly. "The bits! The bits!"
Steven joined her while
"The bits! The bits! The bits!"
"Okay, okay. Take it easy on the counter, will ya?" Mr. Fryman submitted, turning around towards his deep fryer.
"Yes!" Steven and Amethyst high fived.
"Do you want anything?" Mr. Fryman asked, glancing at Pink.
"Sure. I'll take a small fry."
"I can give you actual fries if you want, Steven." Mr. Fryman said, scooping up bits and pieces of fries and pouring them in a bag.
"Just the bits please!" Steven told him. "If you say so," Fryman pulled a batch of regular fries and put them in a french fry cup.
He gave the bag and the cup to Pink, who then gave the bag to Steven.
"Thank you Mr. Fryman!" Steven called as he began to run off.
Pink turned to Mr. Fryman and gave him a 5 dollar bill. "Here. Sorry for bothering you so late."
"It's fine. He's just a kid, after all." Mr. Fryman replied.
"A1lright, well, have a good one, Fryman."
"You too."
Pink jogged after Steven and Amethyst, catching up with them relatively quickly.
"Ah, sunset. My favorite time of day," Steven breathed as he and Amethyst ate out of the bag.
"The sun sets, and the second sun gets bigger and bigger in the sky!"
Amethyst laughed. "Yeah, that big, hot second su-" she glanced over to where Steven was looking at and gasped.
Pink stared at her, confused, before looking as well. "What is it-" There was a giant red orb in the sky. "What the heck is that??"
"What is that doing here!?" Amethyst exclaimed, darting towards the temple. Pink grabbed Steven, causing him to drop his fry bits, and ran after Amethyst.

They met with Garnet and Pearl, who were observing at the red eye through a telescope.
"Garnet! Pearl!" Amethyst yelled.
"We saw. Some of us are trying to protect humanity," Pearl said snarkily. "Now where were you three?"
"Eating fry bits." Amethyst responded. "And actual fries," Pink added. Pearl pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Ooh, can I see?" Steven asked. Pearl let him see through the telescope, and he smiled. "Woah! It's a giant eyeball! Awesome!" He yelled excitedly.
"Not awesome! It's a red eye!"
"Red eye!? It's gonna infect us all!"
"That's pinkeye, Steven."
Pink couldn't help but let out a snort of amusement at the exchange.
