Halloween 2023
(Third person pov)
"Ugh..." Yoohyeon grunted slightly as she tugged on the choker on her neck.
She and the rest of Dreamcatcher were invited to an invitation-only Halloween costume party by Dami's boyfriend: Kim Yunseo, CEO of JC Media and Entertainment. Although it was invitation only, there was still a sizeable turnout, with people dancing in their elaborate costumes on the dance floor, gossiping with each other, and rather disgustingly, some people making out in some "secluded" corner.
Sitting on her chair at the bar on the far side, her Harley Quinn costume felt out of place, with the bartenders being dressed in formal wear, with at most some head accessories.
Taking a sip from her glass of "half-blood" (rum and coke), yoohyeon turned to look at the dance floor. Over close to the balcony, stood Dami and Kim Yunseo, the two of them in coordinated costumes: a police officer and a prisoner respectively, conversing with Gahyun, dressed as Snow White, and Handong, who was in a Jiangshi costume, hoping around the trio, clearly slightly drunk.
Closer to the food table, stood Sua, dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood, and Siyeon, who was dressed up as the Joker. The two of them were marveling over, and seemingly teasing JiU, who was in an Alice costume, and her boyfriend Daniel Mo, costumed up as Harry Potter, over the special dessert that he made for the party as a personal favour for Yunseo: the pink venom. Yoohyeon presumed that Danielle would show up soon to find her brother and the rest of Newjeans to return to their dorm.
"Anyone sitting here, Miss Quinzel?" a voice came from Yoohyeon's left.
As Yoohyeon turned around, she was met with possibly the best-looking person she had ever met.
He was dressed in a white suit jacket and slacks, accentuated with a blue shirt and red tie, accompanied by a white top hat with a blue ribbon band, white cape, and monocle on his right eye. To Yoohyeon, he looked otherworldly, like he just stepped out of one of those shonen mangas or animes that Yoohyeon watched with Dami during their free time. His boyish grin accentuated his features as he looked at Yoonyeon, waiting for her to give a response.
"O-Oh! No one's sitting here, feel free!" Yoohyeon squeaked out loud, not maintaining eye contact with the young man due to her shyness (partially because of how good-looking he looked too).
Over at the food table, Daniel chanced a glance at the bar, and saw to his delight, that Y/N Choi had actually plucked up the nerve and went to talk with Yoohyeon. Fishing out his phone from his pocket, he sent out a message to the rest of Dreamcatcher and Kim Yunseo, which read: 'He did it!'
'Finally! He's been fanboying over Yoohyeon since her days in MINX,' came Yunseo's message, with a laughing emoji reaction from JiU.
'Didn't Y/N go to school with you Yunseo?' came Sua's message.
