A/N: first time I delved into some angst! Please let me know how it is!!

(Suzy POV)

'BREAKING NEWS! ACTRESS BAE SUZY SEEN OUT IN PRIVATE WITH ACTOR LEE MINHO! ARE THE TWO DATING?'

I was on my way home from a schedule when my stylist unnie sent me this article about me meeting Minho sunbaenim at a cafe close to JYP to talk about our upcoming project. Yet Dispatch caught us there, he knows that I'm dating Y/N Kang, my best friend from childhood, and he's dating his childhood sweetheart.

'Y/N's not going to take this well...' I think to myself, staring out of the car window. As I watch the highway flash by on the backdrop of the night sky, I ponder on what to say as I make my way to my shared apartment with Y/N. This was not the first time an article of me 'dating' another idol or actor has surfaced, and although he always says that he doesn't mind, I know that deep down, he feels hurt by all the articles. He always feels he's not enough for me, that I'm better off with a person more of my class than his.

By the time I arrive home, the clock on the wall shows that it's ten minutes to eleven. I make my way to our shared bedroom, to see Y/N working on his laptop, looking cute in the matching pajamas that I bought for the both of us during Christmas.

"Hey baby," I say, putting down my handbag, and moving over to kiss him on the cheek, "how was your day today?"

"It was fine," he said, not even looking up from his laptop, "so you have another shoot with Longines at 10am, I recommend that you go to sleep Suzy, I'm going to sleep first, good night."

He must've seen the article, and based on his expression, he must be pretty annoyed by it. I didn't bring it up, choosing to go to sleep after a quick shower.

Y/N had already fallen asleep by the time I finished, but as I got into bed, I thought I heard some soft sobs coming from his side of the bed.

"Suzy...don't leave me please..." I heard Y/N cry softly, "I know I'm not as talented or as good-looking as the guys you work with, but I promise my feelings for you are genuine and will never change, I love you Suzy don't leave me please..."

(Third person POV)

Suzy and Y/N's relationship started back in 2017, when Suzy was filming While You Were Sleeping, they fell in love on set when Y/N was assigned to be her personal manager. Their relationship was a well-kept secret, approved by JYP himself, and was sweet, until Suzy started to receive bigger roles in her dramas, working with more famous actors, unlike (what Y/N believes) regular Joes like himself. Despite Suzy's insistent and constant acts of affection, the subject was always a sore one between the two.

As she lay in bed, Suzy wondered if there was a way to prove to Y/N that there was nothing that would change their relationship. And as it turned out, an opportunity presented itself to her days later in the form of an invitation to a year-end award ceremony, where she was nominated for Actress of the Year with Vagabond 2.

(Y/N POV)

"And the Actress of the Year award goes to..." The MC makes a dramatic stop, baiting everyone's attention, to which I pray that Suzy wins. "Bae Suzy with Vagabond 2!!! Congratulations!"

I clap, ecstatic that my girlfriend was able to win the award, knowing the amount of hard work she put into playing the role of Go Haeri, and the heartwrenching scenes she had to portray in the drama.

"Thank you, thank you, everyone!" Suzy's soothing voice came over the TV, "I would like to thank a few people for this award, as it was not a one-person job. To start off, I would like to thank the director and producer of Vagabond 2 for casting me again in the drama. Secondly, I would like to thank the cast of Vagabond 2 for putting up me throughout filming." she seemed to take a deep breath, before saying something that made my heart stop for a split-second.

"And lastly, I would like to thank Y/N Kang, my amazing manager, and boyfriend of six years now. Without him, I would not be here to be receiving this reward. He is the love of my life, my shining sun, and my anchor, being there with me for all of the ups and downs that I've gone through, I know that you always feel that you're inadequate for me Y/N, but I prove to you that, I love you, I forever will, and nothing will change anything between us. Thank you, everyone!"

As Suzy made her way to her seat with her award, against the backdrop of deafening applause, I start to receive notifications on my phone. Unlocking my phone, I see a shocking number of messages either congratulating my relationship with Suzy, or outright disbelief that I'm dating her, and a mindboggling number of articles that are being written live about Suzy's revelation about her relationship with me, and surprisingly, a handful of articles about who I am. Damn, Dispatch is quick on its feet. I think to myself.

By the time Suzy got home, my name and her's were now the number 1 trending topic online now, with many articles highlighting our relationship.

"Hey baby," I say, walking over to give her a hug and a kiss on her lips.
"Hey sweetheart," she says to me, kissing me back and placing her award on the living room table.

"I wasn't expecting this baby, what if the backlash hits you badly?" I ask her, hugging her as we sit on the couch.

"Let them hit me, I don't care anymore, as a wise man once told me: 'Real fans are those who still love you when you're in a happy relationship'". She says, leaning into me as I cuddle her, putting my head on her shoulder.

"Baby, you are amazing," I say in admiration, picking her up to bring her to our bedroom.

"You are more amazing than me baby," she says, leaning forward to kiss me again, "You're the only one I want. I love you."
