venting (nishimura riki)

Throughout the day I texted my boyfriend with a bunch of complaints about school. My whole day had been so shitty.

I was laying in bed, crying out my frustration from the day when my phone started to vibrate on the nightstand.

I looked over, sniffling as I wiped my tears and picked up my phone. I saw that my boyfriend was calling me.

I answered the phone and brought it up to my ear. "Baby.." My boyfriend spoke on the other side of the phone. "Talk to me." He told me.

The sound of his voice just made me burst out sobbing. "R- Riki." I muttered out, sniffling.

"What happened?" He asked me softly.

"Today has been terrible. As you know, I'm on my period right now which is already annoying. Then I get to school and my first block teacher is scolding everyone and then he gave us a pop quiz." I say.

"Mhm." Riki listened.

"Then I get to the next class and see I got an email from my geometry teacher. It was from yesterday asking why I wasn't in class. I emailed her and explained I had a stomach bug and she went on and accused me of lying and skipping her class even though she can literally see that I wasn't in school the whole day." I said shakily, on the verge of sobbing again.

"She goes straight to accusing you of skipping? You've never even missed one day of class before this." Riki noted.

"Exactly! That's what my mom said too. Anyways, I got my mom to send in a note and my absences changed to 'illness' and I let her know but she never even got back to me. Then at lunch I had a pounding headache. Oh and then I had a million things to work on in History. Then in study hall I was just on the verge of crying the whole time just from annoyance." I explained.

"Baby, I wish I could've been there to comfort you. I'm sorry you had such a bad day." Riki comforted me. "Just know that I love you and you're doing a good job." He then said.

I sniffled, smiling at his words, "I love you too. Thank you for listening to me Riki." I said, already feeling better from just venting.

"You know I'll listen to you anytime." Riki told me.
