"Your mouth is wine"
Scott always woke early. Maybe it was because Alex did and he simply became accustomed to it, but he never slept late, ever. So when Mitch woke up at 10:30 the next morning, which was even late for him, Scott was still sleeping, and Mitch knew that he was doing much worse than he let on, not that he hadn't already been suspicious of the fact. He'd only seen him sleep this late when he was hungover. Mitch didn't bother him, though. He just let the blonde rest as he began to get ready.
Mitch let his thoughts do as they pleased as he showered. Seeming that everything in his life was just fine and dandy, he couldn't help but think about Scott and Alex.
It just wasn't fair that he ended up being the one that still had Scott in his life. He knew, deep down, that Scott loved Alex more than he loved him. He tried to ignore it, but it was true and inevitable to notice. Of course, in front of and for the fans, Scott always said that Mitch was the most important person in his life, the one he couldn't live without, blah blah blah. But in real life, the life that the two didn't broadcast to millions, Mitch was the second option. It wasn't that bad. Scott still payed attention to Mitch, and they still spent plenty of time together, during tour and in their free time. And now that Mitch had Levi, the empty spot in his heart that always ached for the blonde to pick up where they had left off years ago, conquering the world as best friends, was filled. But for some odd reason, now that Scott could bring that back, now that he no longer had Alex, Mitch wanted nothing more than a reunion of the two gorgeous boys, and the space he had grown to love.
Mitch's hot water began to cool slightly, his cue that it was time to get out. He walked out of the shower, the cold air hitting his body, and immediately reached for his towel. He dried himself and wrapped the towel around his waist before walking into his room. Scott sat up in bed, eyes fixed on the wall, it painfully obvious that he was thinking about something else. Mitch would've bet one million dollars right then and there that the 'something else' was Alex.
"Hey sleeping beauty, how are you?" Mitch asked as he walked into his closet.
"Pretty good. Damn, I slept late, didn't I?"
"I won't fine you for it. It's good to sleep in once and a while, you know."
"Yeah, whatever. But where are you going? I wanted to watch a movie with you."
Mitch put on black skinny jeans and a new shirt from Loewe that he'd recently bought before exiting his closet.
"Just lunch with Lev."
"You do know that I haven't met him, even though you guys have been dating for a couple months now."
"Yeah, five to be exact. We started dating right before the North American leg of tour, so there wasn't really an opportunity. Then I wanted some time with him myself before he met you."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"You'd love him, like a lot. I don't know, I'd like to stay his favorite for a little longer."
"Let's face it, Mitchy. The guys you're into don't exactly get along with me."
"He's different."
"So let me meet him," Scott whined.
Mitch just rolled his eyes and sat down to begin doing his hair and makeup. He almost forgot Scott was there as he began singing a new song that a friend had recommended while making himself beautiful enough for the world to see.
Mitch's silky, stunning voice soothed Scott and almost made him forget about everything, and forty minutes later, when Mitch was finished, Scott's eyes were closed and he was cuddled into bed again.
