The Big Fight After School, chapter 5

𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

After school ended for the day I went and found Aaron, I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around and looked at me, I mean he called me shorty and it was irritating but he really was a lot taller. "What do you want shorty" He said looking down at me, as I looked up at him "Catch me out side and we'll talk with our fists if you know what I mean." I said walking away before he could answer but I knew we was watching me walk away. As I made my way outside Cove stopped me. "What are you doing Katie?" he asked as he blocked my path. "I'm going outside to fight with Aaron, wanna come?" I asked him if he wanted to come cause its kind of rude not to. "Are you sure that's a good idea? There are other ways to settle this you know" "It doesn't matter I need to prove I'm not just a little weak girl, so you coming or not" I said knowing that even Cove was taller then me. I felt so short compered to everyone else I've always been the shortest out of everyone growing up and I'm still the shortest, but I need people to start respecting me so I need to do this. No matter what everyone else thinks. "Ok fine I'll come but only to back you up if you need help." "Thanks Cove your the best." I said hugging him, then we walked outside. I saw Aaron standing there waiting for me. "Well well if it isn't Aaron the soon to be loser of this battle" I said in a confident tone. Aaron looked me up and down before saying "This will be a piece of cake" I mean from any point of view he was taller, stronger and over all more likely to win then me, but none of that mattered I needed to put in my all and win to prove myself to everyone. "Cove will you do the count down?" I asked looking over at Cove with a smirk. "Yea sure I'll count down, you guys ready?" At the same time me and Aaron both said "Hell Yea" "Ok then, 3, 2, 1 Go!" Me and Aaron charged at each other, I dodged a few punch's and caught some kicks before I was finally ready to strike back. I kicked him in his side, I may be short but I can kick pretty high. I heard Cove cheering me on as I fought but either way we wouldn't get in trouble for fighting since were doing it outside, but right now isn't the time to think about that. I hit him with a punch to the stomach, he staggered back before regaining balance and going for another attack. Dodging him wasn't too hard since he was a few inches taller, all I had to do was duck down most the time. He was starting to get aggravated by me dodging so many of his attacks, and landing so many hits on him that he figured out a way to hit me back. In a split second he ran around me and he punched me in the back, it was so fast I didn't have time to react. I felt a crippling pain spreading through my back, the hit threw me off balance and I hit the ground. "GYAAAA Ow! that hurt" "yea well you deserved it" he said looking unfazed even though I landed so many hits on him. It was upsetting to see that I had no effect on him and even more annoying that he had that stupid smirk on his face.

𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑:

After watching the fight go down and Katie laying on the ground in pain as she looked up at Aaron, just made me mad. I knew that hit had to hurt with the force he put into it. "Hey Aaron" He looked at me before saying "What is it?" "I wanna fight you, head on" He looked at me as if I was joking. "Are you trying to avenge your friend? Ha! You can try I guess, lets go" "H-hey you don't need to avenge me." Katie said struggling to get back to her feet as she held her back that obviously hurt. "We're friends right? I gotta stand up for my best friend you know?" I said as she sighed and mouthed the words go ahead as she staggered out of the way. I stared at Aaron before charging towards him without warning but even so he was ready for me. He wasn't much taller then me so we were about at eye level for all attacks. I went for the best place to hit him, I kicked him in the nuts, he staggered back and before he could gain good footing I went in for my second attack. I tackled him to the ground we rolled back and forth wrestling, before I punched his face and pinned him. "How could a kid like you mange to do that?" he said sounding shocked. "Surprised? I'm stronger then I look." I said even though I had no idea how I was able to pin this guy, but I knew I needed to avenge Katie, I saw Katie looking at me in shock as she held onto her back that still hurt. "Anyways I'm going to let you go now but you better not come around messing with me ever again" I said as I got up off of him and he scoured off like a little animal. I looked towards Katie and smiled at her. "Good job Cove!" she said as she walked towards me and gave me a hug. it feels weird to be hugged by a girl that's not my mom but at the same time I liked being hugged by Katie.
