Karaoke, chapter 11

𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

Me and Cove left the school and found a nice place to do karaoke, we went into the place and got settled. "So Cove, are you gonna start us off tonight." I knew he might just say no but he wasn't quite saying no just yet. "Yea sure whatever, I'll start."  Well that was unexpected. He got up and flipped through a few songs until he found one. He started singing Shinunoga E-Wa, He was better at singing then I thought he would be, I mean his parents are rich maybe he got singing lessons? After awhile he finished singing and looked at me. "That was pretty good!" I said encouraging his talent. "Your turn." He said passing me the microphone, I hadn't really thought about this part much but I had to. I got up and started singing, Hello how are you. It was the only song I could think of at the moment, but it was working. Cove was just sitting there smiling at me, even though he's been smiling more its still nice to see. I Finished singing and looked over at Cove who was still smiling. "Your good at singing, you know that?" After Cove said that I blushed a little and said. "Eh, it was nothing." I looked to my side then back at Cove. "Maybe we should order something to eat or drink." Cove said, I suppose he had a point. "Yea, probably." After we ordered we just stared at each other in deafening silence. "Sooooooo Cove, did you have a good time cooking today?" I know this is the weirdest way to start a conversation but I can't think of anything else. "It was pretty fun, some of the other guys kept cracking jokes that weren't funny, but we still laughed at them." I laughed a little after he said that, I mean I wish there were jokes where I was. "Did you have fun being a maid?" I mean he brought up something I didn't quite think about too much. "I had fun, it was kind of hard though to keep up my act." "Oh, don't lie to me your a natural." Was that even a complement? "W-What's that supposed to mean!" He just chuckled, that little twerp. "Stop laughing! That's rude!" He just kept laughing, how rude! "uphm, jerk." He stopped laughing and made eye contact with me. I wasn't sure why, I still don't fully understand boys. "Hey what is it Cove?" I asked trying to understand the situation. "Well, there's something thing I want to tell you." Now Cove is making me more curious. "What is it Cove?" "Well, I just felt like i should tell you sooner rather then later." jeez the suspense, just say it already. "Katie do you.....wanna go out with me?" GYAAAAA!!!! the heck?! that came out of nowhere! I mean I'm not totally opposed to the idea. "I know its stupid, I shouldn't have said anything." After Cove said that I knew what I needed to do, I mean I kind of have a crush on him too. "I'll go on a date with you!" "Eh? Really?" Cove stop asking so many questions damn it. "Yes, of course!" He smiled and hugged me, this was really happening and I was going out with Cove, I was happy. 

𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑:

I didn't think she would say yes but I'm not complaining, we hugged for awhile I could feel her warmth, then she looked at me and said. "Why didn't you ask earlier?" Eh?! why would she ask that? "I thought it might ruin our friendship, that's all." "It wouldn't have ruined anything." She said with a smirk. "So where are we having our first date?" Katie said. That made me think. I had an idea, but I wanted it to be a surprise. "Its a surprise." I said smirking. She kind of gave me that glare that she does when she's annoyed but its so damn cute. "Fine whatever, but it better be fun." Awwww she's so cute when she's annoyed. "Why are you smiling?" Eh! I was actually smiling. "Oh, its just that....your so cute when your annoyed." Her face started to soften. "Like hell." She said smiling as she bumped my shoulder, She was enjoying herself a little too much. But it was almost time to go home but Katie had other plans..... Before I knew it she had taken me to the park with her. "Wanna swing for a little bit, its our favorite place anyways." She had a point, we come here a lot. "Yea sure lets swing for awhile." We swung for a few moments before she looked at me and said. "You know, the first time I saw you I knew we would be good friends, but now we're going on a date. Things change a lot don't they?" She was right from just about any point of view, we were friends and now we're going on a date. "Your right, we were friends a few minutes ago and now we're going out on a date together. Things always change." She laughed a little at my words. "What's so funny?" "The funny thing is that we both just about said the same thing. Its almost like we're thinking the same thoughts, you know?" I guess she had a point. "Maybe we just think the same. lets say the first thing that pops into our head and see if its the same!" She nodded and at the same time we both said. "Date!" "Wait we really are!" We both laughed at the thought. It was about 10:00 pm now, and we both needed to get home. "Good bye Katie." "Good bye Cove!" We said as we parted ways.
