The ghost of my past, a haunting refrain,
Follows me closely, like a shadow in pain,
It lingers and taunts, with memories so clear,
Reminding me of what once was dear.
But I can't be found, for I've moved on,
A new chapter in life, a new dawn,
I've left it behind, the pain and the strife,
The ghost of my past, no longer my life.
It tries to catch up, to hold me down,
But I won't let it, for I wear my crown,
I'm stronger now, with each passing day,
The ghost of my past, slowly fading away.
I've found a new path, with purpose and grace,
Leaving the past behind, to a better place,
The ghost of my past, no longer a bind,
For I've moved on, and left it behind.
So though it may haunt, and try to find me,
I'm not afraid, for I'm finally free,
The ghost of my past, can't keep me down,
For I've moved on, to a better town.
