𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐓 ¦ 𝘒𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘰 𝘛𝘦𝘵𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘶 𝘹 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳

ᐅ Give the cat a treat.

It's been a busy week for the students of Nekoma High in preparation for their sports festival. That includes Y/N.

Y/N and her team would practice and strategize after their classes, sometimes even on lunch breaks where she will be invited by them to have lunch. She's still not used to many energetic people around her but she can't deny that she is having fun.

Everyday is a new experience for her new found friends.

Before, she can only watch as her classmates joke around with their circle. Now, she's already included in their jokes and would often be the target of them even though she doesn't get some of their humor. She feels included for the first time.

It's the most fun she had in school.

Preparations are made as well for their cheers and props the following week while the competing students in their class take a break from their practice.

So after helping out with the props and banners for their class, Y/N decided to reward herself with a well deserved sweet. Nothing fancy, but she really needed the sugar that's when she made a detour to the convenience store.

She went straight to the fridge section to see his target right away. Pudding.

Fortunately, there's still 2 cups left so she made sure that she'll get at least one of them first before getting a snack.

As she reach for one of the cups, anothe hand bumper just right next to her, reaching for the other.

She immediately bowed and apologized but she was greeted by a familiar chuckle.

"You're a pudding head, huh?"

The mischievous tone made her straighten up right away to meet the person she haven't seen in a while. She heard that they went to Miyagi for a practice game because Kenma informed her that they will not be able to play in a while.

Forget the pudding. She can feel her cheeks burning, like a painless fire is crawling up her cheeks at the familiar smirk directed at her. Y/N didn't even realized that he grabbed both of the pudding cups already until he spoke again.

Oh no. Was I staring? Again?

"Are you getting anything else? As your nice senpai, it's on me."

She hesitated for a moment and shook her head.

"N-no. It's okay. I'll... I'll just pay!"

She's so used to being the one treating other people so she can't just let him pay for her. Especially not Kuroo.

"Too late! I'm already walking to the cashier."

He turned to the cashier's direction but before he can walk far enough away from her, he felt a tug at the back of his school blazer. Turning his head to the girl.

"Please... at least let me pay..."

Her flushed face looked up to him. It surprised him how she can be persistent on this kind of stuff. Normally, people will just say yes to free food.

Kuroo immediately looked away and grabbed a sour cream flavored snack from the shelf beside them. Handing it to the girl without turning back to her.

"Then pay for this."

As soon as Y/N let go of his blazer to take the snack, he walked to the cashier to pay for their pudding. She followed behind to pay for the snack and handed the bag to him as soon as they stepped out of the convenience store.

"Thanks for the treat. Here's your pudding."

Kuroo handed the bag with two pudding cups to her. She thanked with a bow without realizing that he didn't take his cup.

"T-thank you again for the treat."

"I told you, I'm your nice senpai so no need to thank me too much."

He chuckled and pointed his way home.

"I'm this way. You?"

Y/N pointed the other way, and Kuroo nodded lifting the bag in his hand as a gratitude.

"I'll see you in school. Goodluck with the sports fest, Y/N."

"Goodluck too, Kuroo senpai. I'll be going on ahead now."

She bowed. Finally finding the courage to at least smile at the person she admire and making her way home.

Kuroo didn't leave his spot until the girl is already out of sight. He peaked inside the bag to see the snack he randomly made the girl buy.

Guess I'll have to like sour cream now.
