HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! SORRY FOR NOT POSTING IN SO LONG
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦You walked along the pavement of Fontaine, the sound of the gears from the meka and soft padding of the paws from the dogs filling the quiet night of Fontaine. You watched as light after light, the city became more and more dark, only the light from the lampposts acting as your guide.
You arrived at your doorstep, when a mysterious hand grabbed your arm and took off with you. They poured a mysterious liquid down your throat and put a gag over your mouth. You tried your best to keep your eyes open, but they slowly closed until your body plunged into the darkness.
THE NEXT MORNING
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦"Demoiselle, you have the letter from the staff of the Countess." Silver handed the letter to a sleepy Navia.
"Can you read it please? I swear my eyes aren't working right now." She yawned and rubbed her eyes as Silver opened the letter.
"To the President of Spina Di Rosula, Navia.
We haven't heard from the countess since she left yesterday afternoon with Monsieur Neuvillette. We have contacted the Marechaussee Phantom for help. Please reply if you have found her as soon as you can.
Signed,
Staff of Countess y/n." Silver finished reading. Navia was now fully awake, processing the contents of the letter.
"Oh my archons, what if she got kidnapped?!" She exclaimed. She hurried Silver out of her room as she changed, adjusting her hat as she ran out the door.
"Silver, Melus, we need to make an emergency trip to Palais Mermonia. We have a little bit of interrogation to do." Navia smiled as she summoned her claymore. "And if anything happens to our lovely chief of justice, it wasn't me." Melus looked at her with a slightly horrified look, while Silver drew out his sword.
"At your service, demoiselle." He returned the smile. Navia put her claymore away and hurriedly began to make her way from Poisson back to Palais Mermonia.
MEANWHILE, IN NEUVILLETTE'S OFFICE
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦"Monsieur, you have a letter from the house of l/n!" Sedene chirped. "Oh, and another trial in about 15 minutes."
"A letter?" He mused. "I thought I told her to come to my office to tell me anything she needed to." He opened the letter as Sedene placed the court case files on his desk before leaving him alone. He opened the letter and began reading.
To Monsieur Neuvillette,
We require the assistance of the Marechaussee Phantom to find Countess y/n. She hasn't returned since last night and we are highly worried about her safety.
Signed, Staff of Countess y/n
"Missing?!" Neuvillette tried to keep a composed expression on his face as he summoned Sedene again to send out the Marechaussee Phantom in search of you.
"Is it possible to cancel my trials today?" Neuvillette asked Sedene.
"Unfortunately not." She answered, running off since a melusine from the Marechaussee Phantom had arrived.
'Being the chief of justice is my duty. I mustn't let anyone distract me from it.' Neuvillette kept on telling himself over and over as he walked to the Opera Epiclese. As he took his seat from above, he couldn't stop thinking about what may have happened to you. The rain started pouring over Fontaine, getting heavier with every thought Neuvillette had.
