A/N: Sorry for the late update! I apologise if Neuvillette or any other characters has been OOC throughout my book. I will rewrite some chapters to make it more fitting since this is my first fanfic after all. Sorry for the wait!
A few weeks after you got discharged along with Navia from the hospital, you and Neuvillette received news from Lady Furina about a certain blonde haired traveller and a floating fairy (100% not emergency food). From Lyney and Lynette, you heard that they were watching their show at the Opera Epiclese.
You sat down next to Neuvillette and waited patiently in your seats for the renowned traveller and Paimon. He agreed to accompany you to see Lyney and Lynette, admitting that he should get out of the office more.
Navia hasn't been very active recently, often staying indoors managing the Spina instead. You had invited her to visit the Opera Epiclese with you, but she politely declined. This has been the same on multiple occasions when you visited her.
"Hopefully poor Navia recovers soon." You muttered. On another note, Neuvillette has offered to help you train to use your vision. You found using a polearm was much easier than using heavier weapons like a claymore, or using a catalyst, which uses much more elemental energy.
"Ooh, these should be our seats. C'mon, let's sit down." You heard a loud, high pitched voice murmur. Both you and Neuvillette turned your heads to make eye contact with them. Their deeds have spread like wildfire since Lady Furina introduced them to Fontaine.
"Uhh..." The fairy looked over at the traveller, then back at you. "Heh." The fairy looked over again and this time, Neuvillette looked over at them.
"Hey, Aether... Maybe we should strike up a conversation with the people next to us? Since we're sitting together and the rest of the place is practically empty still, it's kinda awkward if we don't say anything." The fairy whispered loudly.
"You're up, Paimon." The traveller whispered back.
"You little... Of course you put this on Paimon..." Paimon grumbled.
"Excuse me, I did not realise you felt awkward. I am terribly sorry. I would be perfectly happy to chat with you if that's what you would like." Neuvillette interjected.
"Oh... uh... So you heard all of that, did ya? Boy, you sure have good ears, Paimon thought she was keeping her voice down." She chuckled nervously.
"Ah! Wait, that's not it, Paimon's sorry! Um, Paimon's the one who was being rude talking under her breath like that. Uh, so let's talk, but... uh... what should we talk about?" She floated over, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with you and Neuvillette.
"Uh... Oh, Paimon's got it! You're also here early and sitting in the front. Are you a friend of Lyney's too?" Paimon asked.
"A... friend, you say? Well, if Mr. Lyney would like to be my friend, I would be more than happy to reciprocate." He answered.
"Oh, so you're not friends with Lyney, then... Whew, this is getting more awkward by the second. Ah, Paimon nearly forgot to make our introduction..." She mumbled as she awkwardly scratched the back of her head.
"Nice to meet you, Paimon is Paimon, and this is Aether. We just arrived in Fontaine." Aether stood up as well, and gently kissed your hand. Neuvillette had an unamused scowl on his face, but simply dismissed it for now.
"It is an honour to meet you two. I have heard of your deeds across Teyvat. And as required by proper etiquette, I will also introduce myself. I am..." He was interrupted by Lyney as he walked towards you.
"Oh, Monsieur Neuvillette and Countess y/n! What an honour it is to have you here to see my show! " Lyney walked over, visibly excited.
"Ah, Mr. Lyney. I should say it is in fact an honour for me to see your performance in person." Neuvillette responded.
