The sun began shining over your face as you turned over in your bed. You sleepily got up and began to get dressed.

"What's the date?" You mumbled, walking over to your calendar and seeing a big circle around December 18th.

"Oh my archons! Today is the day!" You quickly got dressed and ran out the house to Poisson. Meanwhile, Neuvillette was busy with his trials for the day.

"So, you're saying that after this one, the rest of my trials are cancelled for the rest of the day?" Neuvillette asked Sedene.

"Yep! Oh, and by the way, happy birthday Monsieur Neuvillette." She continued to file her paperwork, while Neuvillette began making his way to the Opera.

After a quick summary of what was needed for the party, Navia left to go to the Fortress to receive Neuvillette's presents from the Duke and Sigewinne, while you went to get Chlorinde, traveller and Paimon.

After getting everyone ready and the room set up at Hotel Debord, all you had to do was to wait for Lady Furina.

"I want you to try a new cake recipe!" She grinned, placing a blind fold over his eyes. He had just finished his trial, and Furina was acting very suspicious ever since he left the Opera.

"Is the blind fold really necessary, Lady Furina?" He asked as she tightened the blindfold to ensure he didn't see the surprise. "Also, isn't this the equivalent of taking me out? I hope you understand that I am happily in a relatio–"

"Yes the blindfold is necessary and I know you and the countess have a thing going on. Now hurry up!" She dragged him along the streets of Fontaine until they arrived at Hotel Debord and began walking up the stairs and into a room.

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled as Furina took off the blind fold.

"Happy birthday Monsieur Neuvillette!" Everyone cheered. He glanced nervously around the room, and he stopped when his gaze met yours.

"Thank you, everyone. Now, I hope I didn't keep everyone waiting. Why don't you start first, while I have a word with y/n?" Navia gave you a thumbs up and a wink, before turning back to the delicious food before it could be all finished by Paimon.

"So that's what you have been doing all day." He smiled, taking you to the balcony.

"Well, this is my first time celebrating your birthday, so I tried my hardest!" You gently slipped your hand into his, squeezing it three times.

"And there's one more surprise~" You teased. "Just look at the stars, and you might see it." He glanced up at the night sky, when a loud bang went off in the distance. Fireworks illuminated the skies in a multitude of colours, and everyone else ran out in wonder.

"Happy Birthday, my love." You gently kissed him on the cheek. "I hope you liked it."
