A/n:This takes place after 'Taserface'
Ruby and Amber were splitting up. Ever since that sweet Starmora moment, Gamora had stormed off and Amber was going to tail her while Ruby investigates Ego.
At the main room in Ego's magestic living quarters, Ego was brainwashing Quill, Ruby boiled with anger, she held back the urge to lung at Ego and rip out his guts. She definitely needed to warn Drax.
Amber's search for Gamora has not been going well. Just then, she got a message from Ruby saying:
Sister! Ego is brainwashing Quill! Find Gamora quick!
What do you think i'm trying to do? Amber thought. But now is not the time to complain. She heard screams and yells coming from below the planet????
Amber dug into the ground and found Gamora and Nebula exploring the cave. On the bright side, they stopped fighting.
However, what they saw next...
Was the cherry on top for a truly evil ice cream sundae.
Ruby ran back to her room and scratched her head, searching for answers. How do you kill a celestial? I fricking forgot!
Ruby knew they had to attatch an explosive to a part of Ego, but which part?
Ruby looked up, wondering what the commotion was about, only to find Gamora choking Mantis to death, with Amber just staring.
"Gamora stop!" Ruby yelled. Drax also came to Ruby's side and Gamora let go of Gamora. She told them that they were in grave danger.
"I think we already figured that out."Ruby said, deadpanned.
So, there was good news and bad news. Good news? The way to kill Ego is to stick the explosive in his core, which is da brain. Bad news? No one had explosives. Ruby could build one, but the resources weren't with her.
Only one solution, and she sure didn't like it.
Call Rocket for some damn help.
As much as Ruby loved him, she couldn't do it. He's a jackass, prob won't give a shit and will prob be glad for them to die.
Their timely demise is finally here.
