Chapter 9

Valerie's POV

I walked into the store and breathed in. Ahhh, I love the smell of Starbucks. I looked around aend Emily wasn't here yet. She's probably late, because she is for everything. My phone then started buzzing in my pocket. I took it out and it was a call from Emily.

E: Hey girl! Are you at Starbucks already?

V: Ya, I'm just waiting for you, no pressure

E: Ok because my mom said that I had to go to the stables because there was an emergency with Cherry. I'm so, so, so, sorry!!!

If you guys didn't know, Emily owned a horse named Cherry at her family friend's stable called Pine Groove Stables. I've been there a lot and it is a great place and it gets a lot of business. I understood her completly.

V: Its ok! I understand, I'm gonna get a frapp becuase im already here and we can just do this another time or we could facetime later?!

E: Ya, that might work well. I got to go Valerie, I'll keep in touch with you, bye babe

She then hung up. I put my phone away and stood in the line. I saw a boy in a fedora and sunglasses who was reading a newspaper right in front of his face. When I looked at him, he fully put it over his whole face. Huh, that's weird. I shook it out of my head and the women at the counter asked for my order. 

"Hi, may I have a small vanilia bean frapp with whipped cream?"

"Yup is that it?"

"Yes"

"That would be 3.67"

I handed her the money and walked to a table to what for my frapp. A couple minutes later I got my frapp. 

"Thank you"

"Have a nice day"

"You to" 

I said to the casher. At my table, I started scrolling through instagram and then I heard a plop. I looked up and it was the boy with the fedora and the sunglasses on, without the newpaper. He took off his sunglasses and oh. My. God, he was cute. His eyes were an icy blue and he had cute dimples. 

"Hey, I'm...Chase, and you are.."

"Valerie" I said shutting off my phone. 

"Pretty name, and nice to meet you" he held out his hand and I shook it. 

"So, tell me some things about yourself"

"Well, I'm in high school and I live with Cameron Dallas because he is my cousin. I love magcon, Ed Sheeran, Jack and Jack, Shawn Mendes, Kenny Holland, Little Mix, One Direction, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Meghan Trainor and All Time Low. I like Bella Thorne, My Chemical Romance and Black Veil Brides. I love to sing, act, dance, I actually take dancing lessons, ice skate, swim, shop, watch youtube, read and horseback ride. That's basically it." I explained.

I saw Chase smile when I said magcon-and same when I said I lived with Cameron Dallas. Oh well. 

"So, how long have you lived with Cameron Dallas for?" He asked.

"Well, a family thing happened so this is my second day." 

"Cool. Your really lucky to have him as a cousin. Think of all the people you could meet! Like you could probably meet all of your favorite celebraties."

"I actually never thought about that." I admitted.

Chase chuckled. And I smiled, I like this kid. And it was like he read my mind.

"So I'm gonna go, but you seem pretty cool, we should hangout sometime."

"Ya, that would be fun!" 

Chase handed me a piece a paper with his phone number on it while he walked out of the store, his sunglasses back on and he waved to me and I waved back. On the paper, the name said Hayes Grier.

Hayes POV

Mission accomplished.
