Chapter 12

Valerie's POV

I woke to my ringtone going off on my phone. I shot up from my bed and unlocked the screen. It was Hayes. I swiped the screen to answer.

"Hey Valerie! This is Hayes, the guy you met at Starbucks yesterday"

"Oh, hey Hayes! Whatsup?"

"Eh, nothing much. Hey, I wanted to ask you something"

"Yea, what is it?"

"Well, I was wondering if...well...if.. you wanted to go on a date with me today"

My mouth opened with excitment. I muted the phone.

"EEEEEEEEEEEE" I squeled. I took a deep breath and unmuted my phone.

"Ya, that would be great! What time were you thinking?"

"Maybe around 12? We can go see a movie then have pizza or something like that?"

"Yeah, that sounds perfect to me!"

"Great, so I'll see you then?"

"Yeah, I'll see you soon, bye!"

I then hung up. I just got asked out by the one, the only Hayes Grier! I know he asked me to see if he waned to hangout one time but I think he meant just friends. But seriously, a date first?! This is so exciting! I need to figure out what to wear! I went to my closet to see what I can find. What would be good for a first date? Maybe a skirt and a shirt? Yeah. I went to my skirt section and I found a white skirt that I wanted to wear. I then went over to my shirt section and found an aqua plain t-shirt. Perfect. Now, for shoes. I picked out a pair of really cute tan flats. I went to my bathroom and put the cholthes on and looked in my mirror. I have an awesome ocean look going on and I liked it. Next was my hair and I have the perfect style in my head. I put my hair over my right shoulder and took a little part of it. I put it into two sections and twisted those sections together and took a ponytail holder off of my wrist and put it in my hair so it was a side ponytail. Perfect. Last, was jewerly. I found my seashell necklace and it looked great with the outfit. I remember my mom gave me this necklace to me for my 13th birthday, and I love it so much. I looked in my mirror and desided to put on a little bit of foundation and mascara. Also some skin colored eyeshadow and lip gloss. Perfecto. I made my way back into my room and put my flats on and made my way downstairs and saw Cameron.

That's when I remembered he wanted to tell me something. Something about why Hayes was at Starbucks yesterday or somethinng like that. Oh well, I'll let it go for now.

"Hey Valerie! You look awesome! Where are you going?" Cam asked.

"Hayes called me and asked to see if I wanted to go to a movie then have pizza with him today and so I said yes!" I said, getting together a fruit smoothie.

"That's awesome! Well, I'm gonna be hanging out with Matt for the rest of the day. He is coming soon, just so you know. But, I got to go grocery shopping because we are running low on food. So, if I don't see you then have a great time with Hayes. He is a great guy! And don't do anything stupid."

I laughed. "I won't, don't you worry. Bye Cam!"

And he walked out of the door with a wave. Hayes would be coming here in around 10 minutes. Wow, time passes by quick!

Soon enough I heard the doorbell ring. I took a deep breath and rushed to the door.

"Hey Hayes. Wow, you look great!" I said, opening the door.

Hayes had a really nice Ralph Lauren shirt on with white pants and itatilan shoes.

"Thanks and wow, you look beautiful" He said with a smile on his face.

I felt my cheeks turn a little red.

"We shall be on our way, care to join me?" Hayes said in a silly accent.

"I shall" We linked arms and off we went to make adventures happen.
