As the pair got into the car, Saffie almost instantly took hold of the Aux. Mason didn't even try because he knew she would. She played a bit of Dave, a bit of Olivia Rodrigo, Steve Lacy, Montell Fish. Just everything.
5 minutes later
Mason pulled up into his spot at the training ground. He got out of the car and so did Saffie. "Pretty boring place." The girl said, taking it in."Yeah well, it gets even more boring when you're in it 5 days a week." Mason said as he grabbed his bag and sighed. "Let's go."
Mason walked in first, Saffie trailing just behind him. A boy who had curly brown hair stopped them, he had brown eyes and was quite tall, maybe just a bit taller than Mason.
"Yoooo Mase this your girl?" The boy asked Mason. "It's my sister pal." Mason replied, he knew he was going to get a lot of that, they were a gorgeous sibling duo, nobody could deny that. Especially not Mason.
"Oh." The boy said and walked over to Saffie. "Hey." The girl said, she was quite outgoing and an extrovert, she wasn't about to be scared of some 25 year old guy.
"Hey, I'm Christian, I don't think we've met." He said, opening his arms for a hug. "I'm Saffie, it's great to meet you." The pair shared a quick embrace before Mason had to intervene.
"That's enough you two, Chris, get back to the changing room." Mason ordered and Christian nodded, he waved and gave Saffie a small smile before walking away.
"He seemed nice." Saffie said, "He smelt really good too, and he was really tall." She rambled as Mason rolled his eyes.
The siblings made their way down a long corridor before reaching an office with the word "Coach" plastered across it. Mason knocked on the door a few times, weirdly specifically Saffie thought.
"Mase, I thought I was going to meet the lads?" Saffie asked. "You are, just in a different way." Mason replied.
A short yet snappy "Come in" was heard from a man in the office. He was greying, he had a large desk in front of him with a big panel of windows behind him, showing off the training pitches. A young boy was sat at a chair in front of the desk, maybe it was his son? Saffie had no clue when it came to football.
"Gaffa." Masons strong London accent coming through. "Mason." The older man said. Mason stepped to the side to reveal Saffie. The girl gave the man a short wave and a smile. "Hi I'm Saffie, Saffie Mount, sir." The girl spoke hesitantly.
"Oh yes I know, please, take a seat." The man said. "Am I interrupting something?" Saffie asked.
"Oh god no, I was just talking to young Joao." The man gestured to the boy sat in the other chair.
By this point, Mason had shut the door and made his way to the changing rooms, Saffie looked behind her and then looked at the man stood infront of her. Saffie held out her hand for the man to shake, after all it was manners. "Call me Graham" The older man said.
Saffie sat down on the chair below her which was actually mildly comfortable. She looked to the boy on her right. He had what looked like the softest brown hair, and the most gorgeous pair of brown eyes she had ever seen.
"Hello" Joao said quite timidly. "Hi, I'm Saffie." The girl introduced herself, "Oh, si," He pointed to himself and said "Joao."
It was clear the poor boy didn't know much English but he was really trying. Saffie was cut out of her trance by Graham speaking, "So, Saffie, Mason tells me you want to go into physio therapy, is that correct?" "Yes sir, I mean Graham, sorry." Saffie said, that boy had done something to her, nothing that anyone else had. But she couldn't forget Ben.
This sort of interview continued for around half an hour. That whole time, she could feel a burning pair of eyes on her right side of her face, of course it was him. Those mesmerising brown eyes were like pools of chocolate, and Saffie was starting to get sucked in.
Nearing the end of the interview, a knock at the door was heard. "Excuse me." Graham spoke coolly, he got up and started to talk with the person at the door.
In the meantime, Joao picked up her hand and placed it on the desk, he stole one of Graham's many black pens and started to write a bunch of numbers down. Saffie had learnt spanish in school so she knew a bit, "Que?" She asked the boy. He just made a telephone gesture by his ear to her and she nodded, her cheeks turned a light shade of red and she held the eye contact with the boy.
Joao's POV
I was seated in Grahams office, which was pretty plain, grey walls, pictures of old players, bog standard things. A knock at the door was heard and I turned my head to see Mason, then I turned back around and played with my fingers, he had a large legacy which intimidated me a bit.
I was so bored in that fucking office, I could feel my phone vibrating and I just knew it was Magui. We had gone to bed on an argument and it was most likely her asking me for some fucking money again.
A shadow appeared above me and I looked, she had long ish brown hair, bluey green eyes and the most perfect body Ive ever laid eyes on.
Too bad Graham was here otherwise I would've made out with her right here right now. She was so confident in the way she strutted in, she presented herself perfectly.
I bet she wouldn't ask for money.
I shouldn't care should i? I shouldn't even be acknowledging her existence. Ive got a girlfriend for fucks sake. She was the opposite of Magui, and maybe she was the breath of fresh air I needed, but in that moment it felt there was no oxygen.
She was the definition of 'taking someone's breath away'. That was exactly what she did. As she talked she described herself so well, I didn't know a lot of English but from what I could tell by Grahams reaction, she was doing well. I was proud. I don't know why.
I domt even like her.
Ive known her five minutes.
I dint even know her.
Whatever, fuck it. I instantly took her hand and wrote my number when I got the chance, fuck Magui, fuck the press, all I wanted to do was fuck Saffie.
