Lauren's POV

Los Ángeles era algo así como un paraíso. No tenía que estar preocupándome por mis padres, por mis hermanos, por el instituto... Pero no tenía a Camila. No podía saber cuántos meses tardaría en superarlo, pero estaba claro que sólo un mes no bastaba.

Tras haber ordenado todo en la residencia, eché un vistazo al campus. Era enorme, para ir de un lado a otro prácticamente debías coger un carrito de golf o algo así. La gente comía en el césped, estudiaba, escuchaba música.. Simplemente era un ambiente relajado. Otra cosa que me atraía es que siempre hacía sol, algo que para mi estado de ánimo de tristeza permanente venía bien. Parecía que los nubarrones que normalmente encapotaban el cielo de Port Angeles se había venido conmigo a California.

Durante una hora, escuché al profesor de bioquímica dar su clase. La otra media hora, me dediqué a subrayar apuntes de aquél libro enorme que tenía entre mis brazos. Le daba vueltas al bolígrafo y levanté la cabeza, seguía explicando lo que hacía media hora, cómo funcionaban las células fotosintéticas de un ficus y qué factores influían.

Cinco minutos antes de que el timbre sonase, me levanté, metí el libro en la mochila y bajé las escaleras donde estábamos sentados hasta salir de la clase. Ni siquiera podía soportarlo más, aunque las clases me distraían.
