chapter 13

Aisia Pov

I take a deep breath before walking into the office. It's been two weeks since I last came to work, the week I went to Florida with Cain and last week when I called in sick.

I'm really trying to put this all behind me but for some reason it's the hardest thing to do. I dated Reno for around four years and then broke up with him just like that but now I find it hard to forget or let go off a man I have known for over a short period of time.

I open the door walking in the building and just as I'm about to walk to the receptionist desk I see Cassandra walking briskly towards me.

"Bitch for two whole weeks you nuh show up a the work, you think a your man company this?." Cassandra says walking up to me causing a scene.

We are in the lobby of the company and persons are here for interview or to do business so I won't engage her. I make an effort to pass her and she blocks my path.

"U nah pass yah suh today. Suh u have the guts fi show up when you feel like"

"Yow Andra leggo that and forward." I look to the direction of the voice and I see Cain standing at the elevator door in a grey suit. He looks so good. It's the first I'm seeing him like this. Normally he is in jeans or just a little polo shorts.

I walk up to him and Cassandra at the elevator door. "Can I talk to you Cain please." I say to him as he takes out his phone ignoring me.

He walks into the elevator and pulls Cassandra inside. I watch as the doors close and a small tear falls to the ground.

I did this to myself, I wanted to date him. I had sex with him. I will overcome.

Turning around I head outside. There is no need for me to stay at this company any longer, I refuse to be humiliated by Cain and his woman.

I'm outside the building trying to get a taxi to go to my house. I look down seeing Reno calling my phone and I answer.

"Come pick me up me go text you the address."

I look back to the building hearing Cain's crown speeding towards my direction. As soon as the car reaches to me it stops and he gets out walking to me.

"What happened to your car? Why you stand up out here under the sun and where are you going?." He asks looking me straight in the eyes.

I don't respond.

Just ahead of us Reno pulls up in his Toyota tundra.

"Who that a pick you up Aisia?" He ask again looking at me.

"Babes you nuh ready?" Reno says walking towards me as I hug him and walk with him to his car.

I watch as Cain looks on the car never breaking his stare.

"My house or yours?" Reno ask taking my hand as he leads me to the passenger seat.

"Mine"

Two days later

Reno left about an hour ago he stayed with me since I was crying all day both days. Mainly because I suspect I'm pregnant, I haven't seen my period but I'm hoping it only changed.

I'm now on the phone talking with Anna about her plans to surprise her boyfriend as I wait for the pregnancy test results to know if I'm pregnant or not.

I look at the test and instantly my heart falls to the ground. I'm pregnant for Cain. I'm literally pregnant. I take up the phone and text him.

I just did a pregnancy
test and I'm pregnant.

I hit send and wait to see what he says. I know we are not speaking right now because he lied to me about so much things. He hid the fact that he owns the company I work at or the fact that he is sleeping with Cassandra of all people.

"Girl what you doing? I gotta go take a shower." Anna says on the phone.

"Alright babe later." I respond, just as a notification from Cain comes in. I open the text.

Cain🤬
Get an abortion.

I look at the message and instantly I start to cry. This man literally sat in his car and told me he was going to get me pregnant and now that I am he says I should get an abortion.

Karma is a bitch Cain and I'm going to raise this child on my own. My child will never lack anything in this world.

I throw the phone on the floor as I scoot on the floor curling up in a fetus position. Men are embarrassing and are dogs. This man came into my life just to destroy me and make me a single mother because there is no chance in hell that I'm going to have an abortion. This baby will be my first and last. I don't want to see another man around me.

I don't need Cain or any other person to hurt me ever again. I have me for life.

I open my eyes and I'm on the bathroom floor still. I fell asleep here lastnight. I ease myself off the floor as I walk in the shower to get my day started.

Cain Pov

I'm scrolling through a few emails and appointments I have to get done before the end of the day. I had my company matters on hold while I tried to get my father's affairs in order and now my business is running behind.

"Never know you around today boss. How comes?" Jason ask as he walks in my office taking a seat on one of the chairs infront of my desk.

"Handling business. Reach out to Grace group and let them know the ad is a little behind." I respond to him while reading an email.

"I thought Aisia was supposed to have it ready Cain? Like you a feel this one."

"No. Reach out to her or have her assistant step up. Mi a head out yah now, forward anything of importance to me work email." I say to him grabbing my phone and walking out of the office.

I walk past Aisia's office and instantly my blood starts to boil. She disrespected me on all levels so I don't want to hear or see her.

I'm not firing her from the job cause god knows she needs the money but that does not mean that I want to be in contact with her.

"Hey baby" Cassandra says running up to me.

"Doh mek me see you back yah suh. You nuh employed yah that means you stay a your fucking yard unless a me send you here, now move." I say pushing her from Infront of me and exiting the building.

Cassandra is getting on my last nerves with her wanting to be everywhere I'm at. If she had stayed at home then Aisia and I would still be fucking like I had planned.

I pull out my phone answering the call without looking at the screen.

"Hey baby, you coming over tonight?"

"No, me a forward now." I respond putting the phone in the cup holder. I'm going to release some stress then head home.

I missed an update yesterday so I have four chapters ready.
