Chapter seven.

They awoke the next morning to
a soft knock on the bedroom door.

The door opened timidly
as they heard brady ask.

Can i come in?.

Marlena glanced over her shoulder at john, who still had his eyes closed and his lips pressed against her shoulder.

Although john appeared asleep, marlena knew he wasn't.

"Yeah, you can come in.

Marlena told Brady.

That was all it took to have brady barreling in full force.

Good morning daddy!, Good morning marlena!.

Brady said.

John mumbled a Morning brady before pressing his face further into marlena's neck.

The young boy was quick to lift the blankets off of john and he crawl in next to him.

Dad, are you going to take me school shopping today?.

Brady asked.

Yes.

John replied as he felt marlena tense.

He knew she hadn't been out of the house since she was injured and as a result she was probably going a little stir crazy.

Doc, will you like to come shopping with us?.

John asked her.

Marlena did not want to have to have to deal with an overprotective john.

Please marlena, i want you come shopping with us.

Brady told her.

Marlena smiles at brady and says to him.

Yes, i will go shopping with you and your dad.

Brady left the bedroom to get dressed.

Good morning beautiful.

John said to marlena.

Morning handsome.

Marlena said to john.

The way john smiled at marlena
in that moment, made her feel completely loved and cherished.

When she returned the smile,
John leaned in to kiss her gently

"Did you sleep well?.

John asked her as he was pulling away.

"Oh yes, I slept really well.

Marlena told him and she kissed him on the lips.

Marlena had slept better than she did the night of the hospital when she was drugged up on oxycodone.

She slept throughout the night, without waking up in pain.

Which probably had a lot to do with the magic of john's hands.

John got himself and marlena dressed completely before they exited the room.

Marlena was more than excited to finally put on an outfit that didn't consist of sweatpants.

Their breakfast consisted of eggs and toast.

John ensured that marlena took an ibuprofen before heading out the door with brady.

The walk to the car wasn't as slow as both adults thought it was going to be.

Marlena had definitely made a huge recovery in the last week.
