chapter six

Chapter six.

One week later.

Eric helped john moves
marlena's things into his
apartment.

John and marlena had stuck with the sleeping position that they had used at the hospital.

Because, marlena continuously refused to take an oxycodone at night, she would wake up a few times throughout the night in pain.

John knew not to push the medication thing.

John wake up with marlena 
and he whisper words of encouragement and attempt to reposition their bodies in a way that would be comfortable for her.

Marlena never stayed awake for long, she usually succumbing right back to sleep when John's hands would begin rubbing through her hair.

John was always the first one to wake.

He lie awake for a few minutes watching marlena sleep.

before john would slip out of bed,
He positioning pillows behind marlena's back.

John head to the bathroom,
when he come back to the bedroom.

Marlena's eyes would be open.

John was always quick to give her a good morning kiss and help her to the bathroom.

Once marlena was finished washing her face and brushing her teeth,
John would assist her back to bed.

John help marlena get dressed for the day and Brady would be awake awaiting breakfast.

Marlena had a permanent spot on the couch.

John tried to keep her busy by giving her small tasks she could do while sitting.

Which mostly consisted of folding laundry.

Marlena tried to keep herself busy,
Read and watching TV

John would cook all the meals and  clean.

Marlena walk around the apartment a couple times a day without John's help.

John didn't like her doing that.

Marlena assured him that she needed to keep her strength up somehow and walking was the easiest way for her to do it.

Marlena lay down after her walk.

After an ibuprofen and quick rearrange of pillows, she would eventually nod off.

While marlena napped, john took the brady out, either to the store or to the park.

By the time they arrived home, marlena would either be awake or just about to wake up.

Marlena wake up from her nap and she told john that she was hungry.

I'll order the Chinese.

John said her.

"I want to get out of bed.

Marlena told him.

"You don't need to get out of bed doc, You're in pain.

We can just watch TV and eat in here tonight.

John told her.

"I have to build my strength up. That's not going to happen if I'm in bed all day.

Marlena told him.

John raised his eyebrows slightly at her.

Just an hour ago marlena was agreeing with him that she needed to lay down and now she was refusing to.
