Assistant Mayor Richardson was in the mayor's office sipping on a cup of tea before mayor Davidson entered through the doors. "So, how did it go?" Richardson asked calmly without looking at him. "It went great! They both agreed to come and act like undercover bodyguards for this year's event" Davidson stated excitedly. " That's excellent. I can't wait to meet them face to face" Richardson stated as he placed his tea down and approached the window, watching the city in the distance. He soon started to speak.

"What happened to my kind Davidson?... During ancient times, us demons and creatures of folklore used to be feared all across China.

Now, the positions have shifted. Either some demons have decided to work under humans or others have chosen to hide away like a bunch of cowards. How and when did everything go wrong?"

Davidson looked at his friend quite puzzled and surprised by what he just heard. With a small sigh, Davidson approached the assistant mayor before stating "Richardson, I know that your past with... humans wasn't the best, but not all people are like that. And if so, most of it has to do with the fear and the cautionary tales that families and friends have passed down throughout generations. Plus, there are plenty of cities out there that now provide demons with unlimited opportunities, alongside a chance to live in harmony. You just have to learn to let go and give it a chance. Who knows, maybe one day this city will also welcome some human occupants?"

Davidson waited for a response.

His eyes widening in shock and worry, when he witnessed the way that his friend seemed to have flinched after hearing what he just said. Almost like he was comprehending a shocking and scary realization of what could happen if that did come true!?

Just then, Davidson looked down at his watch before stating "Oh look at the time old friend. It's already getting late, and I must get back home as soon as possible. I enjoyed this... chat. See you tomorrow" he stated nervously as he dashed out of the office.

Richardson could only look on and sigh in disappointment as he watched his friend leave in a hurry.

Making it to his home, Richardson walked in with an expressionless face as he made his way to his personal office.

There, he approached a statue of a black dragon in front of his bookshelf and pulled down the head, revealing a secret staircase.

Richardson made his way down the stairs and found himself in a secret room that held books, notes, photographs and a number of statues honoring Black Dragons. He approached the biggest of the statues before kneeling in front of it.

"My fellow black dragons, I bring you good news. I am glad to announce that I am one step closer to achieving our goal. All I have to do is gain the trust of that foolish female simian and prevent that meddlesome but powerful husband of hers to stay out of my way."

He stood up with a crazed look in his eyes before continuing "Soon, this world will once again be ruled by both demons and mystical creatures alike. A time where we will find ourselves back on top, just like during the ancient times!... ruled by yours truly of course" he said with a mock bow.

"My reign will be so fierce and powerful that even the celestial realm itself will bow down to me! Long lives the Black Dragon!!!!!"

He exclaimed as he let out an evil and maniacal laugh, as a shadow of a dragon appeared behind him.
