Red woke up on the couch. His arm was sore. There was a knock on the door and Red sat up. Who would be knocking on the door this late at night? Red walked over to the door and opened it. There was no one there. Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he saw movement. He swung with his left first and hit Negative square in the jaw. Negative hissed and lunged at Red, throwing him to the ground. Red growled and tried to push Negative off of him, but to no avail. Suddenly he fell through a portal and landed hard on his back, knocking the wind out of him. "What's this? You're already hurt? Heh. I wonder how that happened." Negative grinned. "Bastard." Red growled. Negative stomped on Red's ribcage. Red yelled out in pain. Suddenly everything started to fade away. "Get the fuck away from him." Growled a voice. Red couldn't see who had spoken. "Oh you're still alive. Looks like I'll have to fix that." Negative stepped away from Red and headed towards the other monster. Suddenly everything went dark.
Red jolted awake, soul pounding. He looked around and saw an unknown monster laying on the ground, covered in blood and dusting. Red quickly grabbed the monster's soul and revived him. Afterwards Red was extremely exhausted and fell back asleep.
Red was awoken by being shaken. Red slowly opened his eyes and saw the monster. He had a jagged red glitchy line down the right side of his face and over his right eye, he had black string marks coming off of his other eye, his left eye was blue and red in a hypnotic pattern, and he wore a green and red jacket with a fluffy neon blue hood. The monster laid down next to Red. "I'm Malware." Malware said. "I'm Red." Red introduced. "Nice to meet you Red." Malware smiled. Red tried to smile back, but everything started to fade away again. Malware grabbed Red's hand. "Thanks for saving me." Red whispered. "It was no problem." Malware whispered back. Suddenly a wave of pain passed through Red's body and he shuttered. "You're going to be okay." Malware whispered. Red closed his eyes and breathed. He gently placed a wing on Malware. They both just laid there for what seemed like forever. Suddenly Red got a burst of energy and he shot up. I need to get us out of here. Suddenly pain shot through his spine and he was on the ground again. "You're more resilient than I thought." Negative grinned. Red growled and tried to be push himself up, but to no avail. Suddenly pain shot through his wings as Negative started pulling feathers. "I'm sure you won't need these." Negative smirked. Red growled and sat up, finally pushing off Negative. Negative lunged at Red, pinning him to the ground. "The king wants you dead. I'm not leaving until that happens." Negative summoned a bone and held it up to Red's throat. Negative raised the bone, then swung it down at Red. Pain. Red couldn't breathe. It hurt. Everything hurt. He couldn't see. He felt someone next to him, but he couldn't see or hear them. Red tried to breathe, but no air would come in. Eventually he gave up. It hurt too much to keep trying.
Malware leaped at Negative, pushing him off of Red. But he was a second too late. Fuck. Negative easily pushed Malware off and teleported away. Malware looked back at Red. Red was gasping for air, but his throat and mouth were too full of blood to let any in. Malware ran over to him and tried to the bleeding with his sleeve. Damnit. I was too late. Red's eyes were wide with panic, but soon they closed. Red stopped gasping for air and became very still. Malware sat back and looked down. Why did he ever think he could save him? Malware laid down and closed his eyes. I'm such a damn coward.
Red slowly awoke. His wound was gone now. He had unfortunately died and came back. If only I'd stay dead. Red looked over and saw Malware laying in front of him. Red reached out and pulled him close, wrapping his wings around him, then he fell back asleep.
Malware gently woke Red up. He needed to get them out of here before that asshole came back. Red sat up and rubbed his eyes. Malware took his hand, but before he could teleport, Red teleported them instead. Malware looked around the cold snowy forest. This must be Red's AU. There was a thud and Malware turned around. Red had collapsed in the snow. Malware could probably figure out the way to Snowdin from here, so he gently wrapped his black strings around Red and started dragging him through the snow. Malware dragged him for was felt like forever, then suddenly Red started flapping his wings and squirming. Malware immediately untied him. Red calmed down and sat up. "Come on bud. Let's get you home." Malware grabbed Red's hand and they both walked to Snowdin Town, with Red stumbling a few times as they did. Eventually there was a house up ahead and Red started to flap his wings. Malware helped Red up the steps, then set him down and opened the door, then he hid from sight. Immediately he saw Dream. Dream ran up to Red and started checking for wounds. "Oh stars my child! What happened?" Dream asked nervously. Malware's eye widened. Red is Dream's son. Red was quickly taken inside by Dream and a monster with half a face. Malware slowly started backing away. "Mal?" Malware looked over to see Ink staring at him. "Ink..." Tears started to form in Malware's eye. Ink ran over to Malware and hugged him. "Oh stars Mal! I'm so sorry!" Ink cried. "It's fine." Malware said, trying to get away from Ink. Ink let him go with tears streaming down his face. "I'm so sorry." Ink whispered. Then suddenly, "Malware?" Dream had noticed him. Dream ran over to Malware and Ink. "Oh stars! Malware you're hurt!" Dream said and immediately started to heal Malware's wounds. Malware sighed and looked down that's when he noticed a ring on Ink's finger. He's married now... "I'm sure we have a lot to catch up on." Ink said nervously. "Yeah." Malware agreed. Suddenly Malware felt light headed and his legs buckled underneath him. Ink ran to catch him, and slowly Ink moved him to the ground. Malware laid in Ink's lap. Everything had been so stressful these last few days, and finally he felt calm. Malware closed his eye and drifted into sleep.
