Waking

I woke up and stretched. Then I went to go check on the four newly made wolves. I found Lloyd back in his wolf form while the others were reading. >Lloyd, why are you in your wolf form?< I asked him.

>Because I want to be.< He replied.

I shrugged. >You're choice.< Then I turned to the others. "So how are you guys feeling?" I asked them.

"Honestly feel like I could still sleep," Nya said.

I smiled. "After effects of turning." We all went downstairs and ate a good breakfast.

>Y/n?< Anna's voice filled my head. >Si told me you were back. Can you meet me at the park, please?<

>Yes, I'm home. Yeah, I'll meet you but I'm not coming alone.< I replied.

>What do you mean?<

>I'm bringing four new wolves and three Ninja.<

Silence then, >Oh, alright.<

I turned to the others. "Want to go to the park with me to meet a friend?" I asked.

They all nodded. "Who?" Mom asked.

"Anna."

She nodded. "Alright. Be careful."

I ground my teeth to stop myself from asking her to stop saying that. I led the way. Anna was sitting on a bench. I sat beside her. "Yo," I said.

She snorted. "I believe the proper greeting is 'hi'."

The Ninja started walking around. Except Lloyd. He flopped down at my feet. I frowned at him but said to Anna, "Screw being proper." >Lloyd?< I sent to him.

>Hmm?<

>Why are you hovering around me and staying in your wolf form?<

>I like my wolf form and because I love you.<

I heard the lie in his voice this time. I mean, the 'I love you' was true but his reason for staying in wolf form wasn't. >What's wrong?< He didn't reply. I turned to Anna. "An, this is Lloyd. The guy we saved."

She blinked. "He got turned?"

"Him and a few others."

"Your father did it?"

I shook my head. "No, I did." I paused. "They asked and Lloyd's in love with me."

Her eyes lit with happiness. "Oh, Y/n! That's perfect! Now you can stop fighting the bond!"

I scowled. "I stopped fighting that when he first turned into a wolf."

"So the bond has formed then?"

"Yes. And he's keeping it shut tight," I said grumpily.

She frowned. "Why?"

"Probably for the same reason he won't get out of wolf form."

"Which is?"

"I don't know! He won't tell me."

"You could force you too."

I glared at her. "I'm not that kind of person, An."

She nodded. "Right, sorry. Pregnancy is making me odd."

My mouth twitched. "Sure, blame it on your unborn child."

She scowled. "I'm just saying my hormones are all over the fucking place."

"Maybe you shouldn't have had sex with my brother then."

"Excuse me, he's my husband."

"And my brother." I paused. "You should have seen all three of my brothers yesterday. They agreed that the Ninja should be turned."

Her eyes widened. "That actually agreed on something?"

"I know, right? It's shocking."

>Does she know why you hate Jonathan?< Lloyd asked.

>No. You tell her, I'll make a rug out of your coat.< I told him. He sneezed in response. Anna watched us. "Si said that the three non-turned Ninja can talk mind to mind."

I sighed. "They can. My birth mother made stuff so humans can do what wolves do. They're wearing those bracelets and watches right now." I kicked a rock. "That's how Lloyd and his friends talked about turning into wolves without me noticing."

She snorted. "You should have seen that one coming."

"Screw you."

She laughed. "You never notice that stuff."

"To be fair, I knew something was going on behind me. I just didn't know what."

Lloyd was watching us. >To be fair, we didn't want her to know.< Lloyd said to us both.

Anna giggled as I scowled. "Of course. You didn't want you to change your minds," Anna said.

"Can we please talk about something else? Preferably not me screwing up?" I asked.

Lloyd laid his head back on his paws. >Anna started it. Oh, that reminds me. Thank you for helping Y/n save me.<

"You're welcome," Anna said.

I tilted my head back. "You two are irritating."

"Yes, but you love us."

"Something I'm regretting," I muttered.

Lloyd licked my hand. >Doubtful.<

Anna nodded. "I agree with him. I doubt you regret it at all."

"Stop teaming up on me!" I growled at them.

Lloyd let out a bark of laughter and Anna laughed. "It's called caring about you, Y/n," Anna said.

I snorted. "More like you enjoy being annoying."

Si showed up. "What are you guys doing?" He asked as he sat beside Anna on the bench. It could hold three people and no more.

"Stuff," I grumbled.

"We're talking about how ridiculous Y/n is," Anna said casually.

"Anna!" I exclaimed.

Si laughed. "That's one I can help with."

I groaned. "Great. We'll be here all fucking day."

"That's the point," Anna said cheerfully.

I snarled at them and they all laughed.
