We had been at the park all day and Mom had dinner ready when we came back. Lloyd shifted into his human form. >Can I talk to you after dinner, Y/n?< Lloyd asked mind to mind.

>Sure.< I wonder what he needed to talk to me about. Lloyd stared at the table after he finished eating. "Mom, I'm done," I said. "May I be excused?"

"You may," Mom said.

I got up and a few minutes later Lloyd followed me. "What's up?" I asked once we were in my room.

"I stayed in my wolf form all day because I was upset," Lloyd said.

"About what?"

"My mom's not happy that I became a wolf."

"Oh."

"But the Ninja and I discussed it and we're all going to stay here."

"So you're going to make this your home?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Oh." I looked around.

"I want to stay near you and not go anywhere without you," Lloyd added.

"Uh, you do know that I'm the punisher for the bloodsuckers now. I'm not sure I'll be able to bring you along when I punish them."

"I know. But that doesn't mean I have to like it."

I smiled a little. "True."

He kissed me. "There. I've been wanting to do that for a while."

I snorted. "I didn't stop you from doing it."

"I know."

I kissed him. "I love you, Lloyd."

"I love you too."

>Dad? The Ninja want to live here permanently.< I said.

>They're welcome to.< Dad replied.

"You're welcome to stay here permanently," I told Lloyd.

"You asked your dad, didn't you?" Lloyd said smiling.

"Maybe."

"Good. I'm glad we get to stay here." He fell silent for a minute.

"You're telling the others, aren't you?" I said.

He nodded. "They're happy about it."

"That's good."

A year later Lloyd and I were married. Eight years we had a daughter and a son. Our daughter's name is Zahara and our son's name is Rome. Zahara is seven and Rome is five. They were both wolves too. We were all currently sitting on the porch. Zahara was coloring and Rome was stacking rocks. "Mommy, look how flat this one is," Rome said.

"It's a good skipping rock," I said smiling.

"Daddy, can you skip rocks?" Rome asked Lloyd.

"Hmm, it's been a while but I suppose I can," Lloyd said taking the rock and skipping it across the lake that was next to our house.

Rome clapped. "Cool."

Zahara grabbed a rock and tried skipping it. It just plopped into the water. "Aw," she said.

"Here. Let me teach you," Lloyd said and he started teaching them both to skip rocks.

I watched them lovingly and decided that my life was perfect the way it is. I wouldn't change it for the world.
