" I'm home!" Y/n yelled as she swung the front door open revealing the dark house. Closing the door behind her, Y/n switched the light on as she was met with silence.

" Alan?" She said out loud, dropping her bag on the floor before walking towards the kitchen.

Y/n felt nervous to be home alone. She was used to being alone while Alan was at work but now it was different. Since that night, she always wanted to have someone with her. She felt safe because as soon as she found herself alone, she would feel surrounded by them.

Switching the light on, Y/n felt heavy in her chest. She pushed away the feeling before exiting the kitchen.
Y/n could feel the presences behind her. It was just like she had been feeling all day but only this time, they were more than one.

Spirits can show themselves differently. It's not always the same. Yes, Y/n can see them but only if they want to. Some like to make their presence known by sounds. Some like moving things around and some just give you this heavy feeling almost making you sick.

These past few days, Y/n was confused because for the first time. She was witnessing all of them and it terrified her. Since that day, ever since it started, Y/n felt like she was 9 again. Unable to control her powers while she was surrounded by the dead as they haunted her every single day. Now was the moment that her title made sense. She was the witch of death and she hated that.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Y/n felt a breath on her neck. Her heart stopped as she noticed the light flickering. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths as she shook her head trying to convince herself that it wasn't real.

" You are not real..You are not real.." She kept repeating under her breath.

As she slowly took a few steps back, Y/n felt like her heart was gonna explode. Her hands were shaking in fear before she opened her eyes that were now glowing dark green. Her eyes widened forming tears in her eyes as she stared at the scene in front of her.

Y/n could feel a presence near her all day but she didn't expect them to be more than 5. Y/n couldn't even count how many they were. They were all standing in the kitchen surrounding her while they walked around as if they waited for her to make a move but Y/n couldn't. She just stood there frozen afraid of what might happen.

The light went out leaving her in the dark as she stared back at them. Trying to calm her breath, felt like she was gonna be sick. She didn't know their intentions or where they came from. All she knew was that they were here because of her.

Y/n saw a figure walk from the corner of her eyes. They were walking behind her before the stopped in front of her. It was a girl. She was the only personne that Y/n could see more clearly. The others were mostly blurry. She couldn't really make up their faces but her. She could see every detail on her. Meeting her eyes, Y/n immediately recognized her.
It was the girl from the library.

Feeling her heart race, Y/n noticed the girl take a step closer to her. Y/n gripped her sleeve in her hand wanting to take a step back but she couldn't. Watching as the girl stood closer to her, the girl opened her mouth as they stared into each others eyes.

" Let them in..and you'll regret it." A tear rolled down her cheek as she felt her heart stop. Her voice was so harsh. Y/n had now noticed a thick accent in her voice that she immediately recognized. It was the same one as her mother.

Not removing her eyes away from the girl, Y/n could feel all the spirits around them surrounding the two as they stared at each other but Y/n tried her best to push them away. She couldn't let them take over.

" Y/n?" Hearing a voice, Y/n flinched at the sound and turned her head to find Alan looking at her with a confused look on his face.

Looking up, noticing the light turning on, Y/n was now back to being alone in the kitchen but in reality she still had this feeling like she was being surrounded.
