" You want me to do what?" Lydia said dropping her bag on the floor as she entered Y/n's room.

" Help me try and find a way to communicate with the girl i've been seeing." Y/n said to her as she walked around her room grabbing every single book she could find.

" I thought you said I was helping you with homework." Lydia said to her in disbelief as she sat down on her bed.

" You are also doing that but for now, please help me with this." Y/n said to her forcing a smile on her face as she dropped her books on the floor causing a big thud to be heard.

"I thought Allison was helping you." Lydia said grabbing a book from the floor scrunching her eyes at it.

" Allison is not answering her phone." Y/n said taking a seat on her floor.

" Okay, but why me?"Lydia said to her rolling over her stomach to face her.

" Scott is with Kira. Isaac is also probably with Allison and well Stiles, he would end up distracting me. So i thought you would be able to help me out of everyone." She said to her reaching out for a book in front of her.

" How?" Lydia asked her confused.

"You're a banshee. The woman surrounded by death." She said to her shrugging her shoulders at her.
" You, out of everyone would be able to help me since you've seen dead people before."

" I haven't seen dead people." Lydia corrected her.

Letting out a groan, Y/n glared at her.
" You get what I mean. You at least won't get weirded out if a dead spirit appeared out of nowhere."

Hearing a knock on her door, the two looked up to find Alan peaking his head before revealing himself.
Nodding his head towards Lydia, she raised her hand giving him a small wave.

" Staying in again?" He asked towards Y/n.

Nodding her head, Y/n smiled at him.
" Yeah. I don't think we might be going out tonight."

" Well I'm heading to work but I'll try to come back early so we can at least do something for your birthday. Maybe a cake or something."
Alan had always tried Y/n to celebrate her birthday. He would bake her a cake and even get her gifts but for some reason, Y/n just never showed any interest in doing anything.

" You don't have to but thanks." Y/n said to him giving him a smile. She appreciated how he always tried to make her feel better. At least she wasn't spending it alone.

Watching him walk away, Y/n looked down back at the book on her lap, swiping each page trying to find something that could help her.

" You know...there's a party at Derek's house."
Lydia said glancing at her.

" I'm not going to a party." Y/n immediately said to her rejecting her offer.

" So what? You're gonna stay here, locked inside your bedroom on your birthday?" Lydia said to her slamming the book closed.
