As the rest of the Slytherin students were asleep in their dorms Draco  couldn't shake the feeling of restlessness that had taken hold of him. The memory of Astoria laughing with Adrian Pucey haunted him, and he couldn't bear to let the jealousy eat away at him any longer. With a mixture of determination and anxiety, Draco silently made his way to the girls' dormitory in the dungeons. The entrance required a password, and luckily, Draco had acquired the information he needed to access the room. He found the door to Astoria's dormitory slightly ajar, allowing him to slip inside undetected.

Draco's heart raced as he gazed upon the room, illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight. The sight of Astoria's sleeping form stirred a complicated mix of emotions within him. He was here to confront his feelings, but he wasn't prepared for the unsettling reality of seeing her in such an intimate setting.

Just as Draco was about to turn and leave, the door to the dormitory creaked open, revealing Adrian Pucey. The Slytherin boy's eyes widened in surprise as he spotted Draco, a look of confusion and concern crossing his face.

Adrian cleared his throat, speaking in a low voice. "Draco, what are you doing here?"Draco, caught off guard, struggled to find an explanation. "I...I was looking for something, and I got turned around."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, his skepticism evident. "In the girls' dormitory at this hour? Seems rather suspicious, don't you think?"

Before Draco could respond, Astoria stirred in her sleep, prompting the two Slytherin boys to fall silent. Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked from one to the other, her expression a mixture of surprise and concern.

Before Draco could respond, Astoria stirred in her sleep, prompting the two Slytherin boys to fall silent. Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked from one to the other, her expression a mixture of surprise and concern.

"What's going on?" Astoria asked, her voice filled with grogginess.
Adrian glanced at Draco and then back at Astoria, a hesitant smile on his face. "I think Draco just wanted to have a private conversation with me. We'll be on our way."

Astoria's brow furrowed in confusion, but she nodded sleepily and closed her eyes again. As Adrian and Draco exited the room, Draco couldn't help but feel a growing tension between them. The encounter had taken an unexpected turn, and the rivalry that had simmered beneath the surface was now on full display.

Once they were outside the dormitory, Adrian turned to Draco, his voice dripping with suspicion. "What's your game, Malfoy? You waltz into Astoria's dormitory in the dead of night and then claim you want a private conversation with me? Explain yourself."

Draco, realizing the gravity of the situation, took a deep breath. "I...I need to talk to you about Astoria. I've been feeling...conflicted about her, and I wanted to clear the air."

Adrian's eyes narrowed, but he didn't immediately dismiss Draco's words. The tension between the two Slytherins was palpable as they faced an uncomfortable conversation—one that had the potential to change the course of their relationship with Astoria and with each other.Adrian Pucey studied Draco Malfoy for a moment, weighing his words. It was clear that there was more to the situation than met the eye. "All right, Malfoy, let's hear it," he said, gesturing for Draco to continue.

Draco sighed, struggling to put his feelings into words. "It's just that... I've been feeling something for Astoria, something I can't quite explain. I thought it was jealousy at first, but it's more than that. I never expected to feel this way about anyone, let alone a Slytherin like her."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, still not entirely convinced. "And what exactly do you want from me? Are you asking for my blessing or something?"

Draco shook his head, frustration evident in his expression. "No, I just needed to tell someone about it, to clear the air. I don't want to let my feelings get in the way of Astoria's happiness."

Adrian's expression softened, and he let out a resigned sigh. "All right, Malfoy. I can tell you genuinely care about her. But you should know that I've become quite close to Astoria, and I care about her too. If you truly want what's best for her, you'll have to prove it with your actions, not just your words."
Draco nodded, acknowledging the truth in Adrian's words. "I understand, Pucey. I don't want to hurt her or you. I just needed to be honest about my feelings."

As they stood there in the dimly lit corridor, a tentative understanding formed between the two Slytherins. It was clear that their rivalry had taken on a new dimension, one that revolved around their feelings for Astoria. The path ahead was uncertain, but they both knew that their actions would speak louder than any words, and that the true test of their intentions had only just begun.

Draco's revelation to Adrian marked the first step in confronting his emotions and the complex web of relationships that had developed in Slytherin House. The future remained uncertain, but one thing was clear—Draco was no longer content to be a passive observer of his own life. The journey of self-discovery had taken an unexpected turn, and there was no turning back.
