This time, I broke the kiss.
"Come on, let's go" I said softly, standing up then holding my hand out.
Pete grabbed a hold of my palm and stood up himself. We then walked away from the lake and down the street. The snow was falling heavily now, coating the ground in a soft, plush coat of ice.
"We should hurry." Pete said, now jogging down the street.
"Where is your parent's house, anyway?" I asked, jogging with him.
"That house on the far corner." Pete said, pointing to a house on the corner of the next street.
"Oh. Okay." I mumbled.
As soon as we made it there, Pete opened the door slowly.
"Dude, are they awake?" I ask, whispering.
"No, but I used to do this all the time." Pete whispered back.
Pete tiptoed in, and I followed. He closed the door gently and walked around the corner, going up a set of stairs. Reaching the top, Pete turned right and opened a door.
"Your room?" I ask.
"Mhm." Pete walked into the small bedroom and threw himself onto a small twin sized bed.
"This is where we'll be sleeping tonight." He said.
"That bed's really small." I pointed at it.
"So? You're small too, you can fit."
"Dude. I'd rather sleep on the floor."
"Come on, Sky." Pete whined.
"Ugh, Fine."
I shut the door behind me quietly, then walked over to the bed and sat on the edge of it.
"Thank you." Pete says as he wraps both of his arms around me, pulling my body down to where my head was resting in his lap.
I looked up at him.
"Does Patrick know where we are?" I asked.
"He'll know." Pete replied softly.
I 'Hmphed." Softly, not really wanting to question Pete. I've been doing enough of that lately.
After a bit of silence, and me staring at his walls, Pete moved. He lifted up mu head and moved to the side, giving my enough room to lay down next to him. Well, I did.
"See, told you it's not that bad." Pete said.
"Yeah, yeah."
I laid my head on Pete's chest, listening to his heartbeat. As soon as Pete's breathing slowed down and regulated, I knew he had fallen asleep. Fuck.
Finally, I just passed out.
