Chapter 12.

Author's POV:

The night hung heavily in an oppressive silence as Roohi found herself alone in her room, grappling with the ominous words of the letter that had invaded her peace. The air was charged with tension, and Piyush, sensing his sister's distress, wore a concerned expression as he observed her reaction to the unsettling contents. Roohi, clenching the letter in her hands, reflected a storm of emotions in her eyes—anger, fear, and a hint of vulnerability.

In the dimly lit room, the only solace was the soft glow from the bedside lamp, casting long shadows that mirrored the depth of Roohi's turmoil. Piyush, understanding the gravity of the situation, spoke with a soft reassurance, "Didi, you can't let this get to you. We'll figure this out, together."

Roohi gritted her teeth "I can't believe he did this, Piyush. He's a monster!"

"How dare he?" she muttered through gritted teeth. "This is too much, Piyush. I can't believe he's targeting my family."

Piyush placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Di, we'll figure this out. Right now, you need to calm down and get some rest. Stressing yourself won't help."

Tears welled up in Roohi's eyes as she looked at Piyush, the depth of her emotions mirrored in the silent exchange. Piyush gently took the letter from her trembling hands, realizing the weight of the situation. Speaking soothingly, he said, "Let's not give him the satisfaction of seeing you like this."

"I can't sleep, Piyush," Roohi admitted with vulnerability.

Understanding the depth of her unrest, Piyush sighed, "Alright, let's try to calm your mind. Lie down, I'll stay with you until you fall asleep."

As Roohi settled down, Piyush remained by her side, offering comfort until her troubled breathing transformed into a rhythmic calmness. Once she was asleep, he quietly left the room, his mind abuzz with thoughts on how to shield his sister from the impending storm.

The next morning, Roohi woke up with determination etched on her face. She got ready for school, her gaze firm in the mirror. Piyush, sensing her resilience, decided to head out, giving her some space. Before leaving, he said, "Take care, Roohi. We'll handle this together."

Throughout the day, Roohi battled her fears for her family but remained steadfast in her resolve to unveil the identity of the mysterious stalker. As she navigated the school hallways, the principal's voice crackled through the intercom, summoning her to his office.

Entering the principal's cabin, Roohi found it deserted. Suddenly, the chair swiveled around, revealing Avinaash Oberoi, the person she despised the most, his signature smirk playing on his lips.

With a sly grin, Avinaash stood up, "Good morning, Lieana. A pleasant surprise, isn't it?"

Roohi's eyes flared with anger. "Don't you dare call me that, Avinaash. What are you doing here?"

"Just checking up on my favorite teacher," he retorted, his smirk undeterred.

Roohi scoffed, "Save your concern. I don't need it."

Avinaash chuckled, unshaken by her hostility. "Oh, come on, Lieana. You know you can't resist me."

"I will never love you, Mr. ACF. All you will get from me is hate, for the rest of your life," Roohi shot back defiantly.

Undeterred, Avinaash replied, "Is that a threat, Lieana?"

Roohi scoffed, "Does it look like a compliment?"
