Chapter 3. (Unedited)

Looking at the photo of Roohi, a smirk made its way onto his face.

Shoving his phone back into his pocket, he looked out from the glass wall. The mesmerizing view of the whole city at night.

But for him, the most mesmerizing view is of Roohi.

"Soon love, You will be in my mansion and then I will never let you go!"

He laughed sinisterly.

--------------------------

Roohi here was now perplexed. She knew that blocking the number is not gonna help her now. Trying to calm herself down, she decided to distract her mind by baking some cookies. Baking was like a stress reliever for her.

So she was in the kitchen now, thinking about the flavour of cookies.

Strawberry!? Nah
Red Velvet!? Nah
S'mores!? Nah
Chocolate!? Hell yeah

She decided to make chocolate cookies and grabbed all the ingredients for it.

She was halfway done with the dough when her mother called her.

"Hi, mumma!" Roohi tried to sound joyful but failed miserably.

Her mother at once knew that something is troubling her daughter.

"Hi, sweetie! Won't you tell your mumma what happened!?"

Roohi smiled a little. Her mother is the best. She got to know about her condition just by her voice.

But she doesn't want to stress her parents and ruin their vacation. So she decided to keep quiet and handle all this by herself.

Indeed a lioness!!

"Nothing happened mumma. It's just that I am having a cold"

"Ohh, my baby!! Did you take medicine or not!?"

Roohi closed her eyes and felt the affection from the worry-dripping voice of her mother.

Sorry for lying mumma!!

"Yes, Mumma!! Taken already like an hour ago"

"Good and don't strain yourself. Go and have some rest."

"Yes!! How's Papa!?"

---------------------

A 'ting' voice from Oven, made Roohi lift her head towards the kitchen. She was currently in the living room waiting for the cookies to be completely baked.

She kept her mobile aside and headed towards the kitchen.

Wearing mittens, she took out the cookies and set them on the inland top to cool for some time.

She decided to click on some pictures of it to send to her mother.

"Let mumma also see how good baker her daughter is!!" She giggled and made her way to grab her mobile.

But when she returned to the kitchen, she froze in mid-way.

She saw a silhouette of a person in her window, making its way outside the gate.

Her eyes widened in anticipation.

That is when her eyes fell on a white note. It was kept under the baking tray.

She hustled towards the island and quickly grabbed it.

She, for a few seconds, hesitated but finally gathered some courage and opened it.

My Lieana!
Trust me, these cookies are the best ones I have ever tried.
And I also didn't expected to be welcomed by these delicious and aromatic cookies ;)
But be careful while working in the kitchen. Remember you are mine and I don't want a single scar on what's mine.
