Chapter 14.

~ Private Jet ~

Avinaash's POV

Lost in my thoughts, I find myself staring at the clouds that cover the city of Mumbai. In my mind, there's only one thing – or rather, one person – Roohi, my Lieana.

As the city hums with activity below, her name fills my thoughts like a comforting melody. Despite the chaos around, thinking about Roohi brings a sense of calm to my soul.

In this peaceful moment, I take solace in the idea of Roohi, being a constant presence in my life. The clouds above, much like my emotions, move and change, but she remains a steady guiding light.

So, I continue to look at the sky, where each passing cloud seems to echo the same sentiment – Roohi.

My chain of thought came to a sudden halt when a member of the cabin crew interrupted, inquiring if I needed anything. Declining, I shifted my attention to my laptop, aiming to dive into some work.

In the midst of my tasks, Ishaan, my dependable second-in-command, approached, holding a tablet in his hand. Handing it over, he stated, "Boss, here's all the information you needed."

As I scrutinized the details on the tablet, a knowing smirk formed on my face. "My Guess was right!" I muttered to myself, a sense of satisfaction creeping in. My instincts were spot on!

Returning the tablet to Ishaan, I issued my orders with an air of authority, "Proceed with the plan."

Ishaan responded with a firm nod, "As you command, king. I'll make sure it's executed according to your instructions." The exchange carried an unspoken understanding, the dynamics of our working relationship clear in the confident affirmation.

Retrieving my phone from the cozy pocket of my overcoat, I tapped into my gallery. As I swiped through the memories captured in photos, I settled on one and tapped to open it. Waves of nostalgia crashed over me as I studied the image. It was the face of a little kid, beaming with innocence. I couldn't help but zoom in on the photo, absorbing every detail.

Sinking back into my seat, my gaze remained fixed on the picture. "Welcome back, Champ," I whispered, the words carrying a mix of fondness and resolve. "But this time, I won't give you what you want." The determination in my tone hinted at a decision, to someone who wasn't physically present but held a powerful presence in that cherished photograph.

Roohi and Viaan continued their stroll in the park, the aftermath of Vedika's conversation casting a quiet and comfortable silence over them. The tragic story Vedika shared had left an impact.

Roohi, aware of the painful truth behind Vedika's trauma, found herself overwhelmed by the situation. Trying hard to keep her emotions in check and not wanting to burden Viaan, she grappled with an internal mess. It became her utmost priority to find a way to forget the distressing details, to regain some sense of calm amidst the soothing surroundings of the park.

As they walked, Roohi concentrated on pushing the troubling thoughts to the side, attempting to create a mental space for tranquillity. The serene environment of the park became a backdrop for her internal struggle, and her primary focus was on navigating through the emotional turbulence, seeking solace in the simplicity of the moment.

"Roohi...." Viaan's voice cut through the air, rescuing her from the depths of her distressing thoughts.

Roohi met his gaze, encouraging him to share whatever was on his mind. Viaan, wearing an expression of hesitation, absentmindedly fidgeted with his fingers. "Actually......."
