His big fight with you after returning back from his parents house later, Taehyung couldn't stop but think about everything you said to him. Everything that bothered you and how his behavior was hurting you.

He's never had anyone to care about in his entire life. Being a single child and lacking siblings, he never knew what caring for someone else meant. He had very few friends as well. His parents gave him everything he needed but they could never teach him how to be considerate of others feelings.

But that's not something you teach. It just comes naturally.

His father tried his best to set an example to be the best husband in front of him but sometimes you don't learn by watching. You need to experience things yourself.

When he agreed to marry you, he did it because his parents asked him to. He thought his married life would be just like his parents. Happy and peaceful, unaware of the efforts his father and mother have been putting into the relationship.

But today, while talking to his father back in his study, he realized he never bothered to look at his wife and see what he's lacking. What their relationship was missing. Love and respect and partnership. Everything that's necessary to make the relationship work.

He couldn't blame anyone but himself for the consequences. Honestly, he was happy with you. You were smart, intelligent and beautiful. To top it all, you were the most humble person he's ever come across in his life and that's everything he's ever imagined were important to look for in a good life partner.

And now, suddenly or gradually, he started  realizing he liked having you around. In his space. Whether it be just as a housemate, he liked to think that someone is back home probably wandering around the house.

Someone who's emitting their scent in his house. Someone who's waiting. Just for him. He liked the idea of you with him. Even if he's never behaved as your husband, he's gotten used to you living around in his house. Both of your house.

Back in the car, he even felt a spark of something in his heart when his eyes landed on your bare back. He itched to touch the skin. He struggled to keep his hands to himself from his wife. That's probably messed up but that's what he felt.

Your words still rang in his ears. Even after he came back to his room. Even after he's taken a shower and tried on soothing music to relax himself. He closed his eyes  and waited for sleep to grace him but 2 hours later, he was just tossing in bed with not a single ounce of sleep in his eyes.

You don't even respect me as a human being let alone your wife.

I'm not your tenant Taehyung. I'm not just someone who shares your living space.

Your words played like a broken record in his mind. How he wished he knew what to do in such situations. How he wanted everything to go back to normal. But he also knew it wouldn't.

He was as clueless as a child on the first day of his school. His first fight with his wife and he doesn't have a clue what to do to make things right. How to fix things. He wanted to call his mother and ask her what to do. Hell, he wanted to go to your room and ask you for forgiveness.

But he did neither of those things. As naive as he was regarding his emotions, he let them consume him until the consequences of his actions came biting him back in the ass.

Because the next morning, you weren't in the house. He checked every possible place you could be but you weren't there. The house screamed your absence in its silence. First you left his room and now you left his house. Your house.

He called you but you didn't answer. Then he called your mother but she didn't know anything either. He called his own mother who only scolded him for doing something to upset her daughter in law and hung up on him.
