The light from the sun seeped between the cracks of the cheap plastic blinds, hitting Mariya perfectly in her eyes as she sleepily nuzzled the crook of Xiao's neck. It was distracting, forcing the hybrid to part her eyelids and take in her surroundings. Between Xiao's fur, which still had the sweet smell of cherry soap from her shower last night, the hybrid's body pressed against hers in a sweet cuddly spoon, and their bodies both naked; it was truly a time to be alive. Mariya relished it, her eyes squinting as they darted around the small hotel room, attempting to relieve the sun's sharp gaze from harassing her. Unsatisfied, she pushed her face further into the crook of her partner's neck, her muzzle pressed along her back.

What was the point of this? She was already awake; and if the sun was already rising to this point, then it was at least 6 or 7 in the morning. She, Xiao, and the rest of her group needed to leave this Berlin hotel by 9:30; as per their rule to the overnight stay. Mariya gave a quiet, agitated moan, pulling her face back into the sunlight and kissing Xiao's naked shoulder; wiggling herself free from her sleepy partner's weight, which was laid over one of her arms. The Russian cleared her throat, sitting upright hazily and sniffling. Her clothes from the night prior were still strewn about the floor, whereas Xiao's were packed in her own suitcase. She rubbed her eye, rolling out of bed and carefully leaving Xiao underneath the blanket; making her lumbersome way to the bathroom to clean herself up and freshen up at the very least to best keep up appearances to her friends; who, to their knowledge, were unaware of her and Xiao's more intimate side to their relationship, due to the nature of how long they had been dating - around 6 months. After all, sex head was real, and was noticeable.

She went through her entire morning routine as swiftly as she could, using the restroom, washing her paws, brushing and flossing her teeth, combing her facial, arm and leg fur - ignoring her chest due to the nature of her wearing clothes, and picking her curly tuft for added volume. She looked to herself in the mirror, rubbing her temples firmly, but slowly. How did she get so lucky? She was brought here for a divine mission and given a second shot at life, and what she thought would have been a mundane, emotionless experience turned into a lovely blossom of intimacy and friendship. She flared her nostrils in contempt, closing her eyes.

If it wasn't for Alyosha's gift, she'd never have met these animalloids. In truth, she was never designed to meet them from the start. In a different universe, a universe where Alyosha didn't resurrect her, these animalloids would be living their lives without a second thought of her possible existence. It truly was amazing how a culmination of tiny, little choices made up where she was now, and she was blessed for that.

She opened her eyes, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth and winking at the mirror, shooting a singular finger gun with her left paw and smiled to herself. She left the bathroom, stretching as she did so. She smiled, remembering her trip with her friends this year; Xiao had taken plenty of photos of the two of them on her phone, selfies and scenic shots, which she had planned to print out and hang up.

She could not wait to info dump everything from the past two weeks to Silsina.

As she emerged from the bathroom, a small chuckle broke the silent thoughts running through her head. She turned to look at her partner, who sat on the edge of their shared bed, the sun shining along her naked body. To Mariya, the woman sat their was possibly the most beautiful she had ever seen. The way her emerald green eyes watched her, looked at her, told a wonderful tale. Xiao absolutely loved her, this notion solidifying through the soft smile across her muzzle.

Mariya cocked an eyebrow, teasing the feline in a playful way; asking why she was giggling. Xiao responded that it was nothing in particular, and that she just thought she was cute, watching her stretch like that. Mariya rolled her eyes and gave a smile, walking over to Xiao and allowing the feline to place her dazed head onto her chest, stroking the back of her head in a cute, loving way, whispering 'good morning' to her as she did so. Xiao mumbled the phrase back, taking in the time to listen to her partner's heartbeat. Mariya's resting heart rate was slow, melancholic. It beat at approximately 67 beats per minute, a very healthy heart.
