The next day, bright & early, Mark was in the Captain's office discussing forming the task force, "A task force, but we already have a task force." the Captain trying to understand where Mark was going with this, "Yeah I know, but this is a very different task force and another reason.
Different...other reasons, Mark, what the hell?
Captain...Captain, look, trust me with this. I have a plan and reason why this team needs to be off-the-records. I don't care about the recognition; that's where you step in, Captain." Mark said as the Captain sat back in his seat, giving it thought, "....Mayflower, I don't want this all to blow up into a shit-storm got me.
Sir, keep it off the records; light a green light, and I will go into more details with you, not keeping you in the dark.
...Okay, Mayflower, I'm trusting you and your word.
Yes, sir!" Mark left the office, pulling out his phone and making a call, "Yo...all is a go!" he said, ending the call.
Mark drove up to a small coffee shop, where a blonde-headed Caucasian male wearing sunglasses, a five o'clock shadow, & dressed in dark clothes. He was sitting outside in front of the shop at one of the tables, smoking a cigarette with a cup of coffee in the other hand. Mark exited his car, walking up as the male cracked a smile, "Mayflower!
Ambrose!" he replied as they shook hands; then Mark sat at the same table across from Ambrose, "Brother...you finally call me, huh?
...Yeah, man, you were right, after all, Ambrose.
It's remarkable, man; we will take care of this, you hear me?
Yeah...all of this shit, and now my old man is in the hospital on his back...
...I'm sorry to hear that, but I told you nothing good comes with befriending a werewolf." Ambrose took a puff from his cigarette, "...What now?" Mark frustrated, "We start working on forming the team first, and everything else will fall into place. Come on, let's get a move; the hunt is on from here on out." Ambrose finished his cigarette as they both got up from the table, "Let's ride, follow me." Ambrose said, walking off while Mark returned to his vehicle.
After a 35-minute drive, Mark follows Ambrose to an old scrap yard. They both exit their vehicles, "Here we are, Mayflower." Light up another cigarette, "This way." Mark followed him through the yard, where a small one-story building was sitting off from the yard. As they approached the building, Mark began hearing chatter from inside, "Mayflower." As he opened the door & saw a place of operations, Ambrose said, "Welcome to the Cave!" He said as they both walked inside, Ambrose closing the door behind them.
Inside the Cave were all black ops vehicles, equipment, & weaponry, "Got damn!" Mark was in awe; while his eyes were glued to all facilities, there was a substantial black top table with three individuals, two males & one female, "Yes sir, badass, right, and these three ugly mugs are Alicia, Rock, and Kip. Everyone, this is Mayflower." Ambrose introduced as he took another puff.
Kip was a Caucasian male in his late 20s with long black hair, grey eyes, a clean face, and a slim build with multiple tattoos. Rock was a Jamaican male in his mid-30s with a shaved head, dark brown eyes, a full beard, and a muscular body with both his forearms covered with tattoos. And last was Alicia from the Soviet Union in her late 20s, with short red hair, green eyes, nose piercing, slim build with a couple of tattoos.
"Welcome to the team." Kip said, "Dobro pozhalovat (welcome)." Alicia smirked while Rock nodded, "Now that the whole gang is here, let's begin." Ambrose said, "Now we only have a few days before the full moon; they become twice as strong. So we must get this going before it becomes a bigger problem." Ambrose takes another puff, "Mayflower, follow me." the whole group follows Ambrose. They walked towards a vast weapons rack, "Now, Mayflower, I know you're on the force and all, but this is off-the-grid hardware you see right here." Ambrose said as he picked up a Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle, "This baby is what we work without in the field taking out monsters.
Besides werewolves, what else do you all kill?" Mark asks, eyeing the rifle, "Vamps, but werewolves are our forte, and you, my friend, have a huge wolf problem. Oh yeah, we know what happens in the streets of Chicago at night...the war that wage in the dark." Ambrose said as Mark looked at him.
"We can stop it from happening, but we can throw a monkey wrench in the mix." Ambrose smiled as he handed Mark the assault rifle, "Get to know her; we have much work to do with so little time." Ambrose walked off as Mark held the gun in his hands, observing it.
Ambrose looked down at his phone, "Okay, I have somewhere else to be; Kip showed Mayflower the rest of the cave." He said, heading towards the exit, "No prob, boss." Kip replied as Ambrose left, "Okay, Mayflower, come with me and hold on to your weapon." Kip said, "How long have you been on the force?" Kip asked as they both went to another side of the weapon rack, "Enough." Mark answers as Kip laughs, "Good answer; check this out." Kip grabs a bullet off the weapon bench, tossing it to Mark, "Sliver bullet?
Indeed, this can injure them....or kill them, which we love best." Kip said, "How long have you been doing this with Ambrose?
Since I was 20, Ambrose was the one who welcomed me with open arms...both mom and dad weren't around, so he took me under his wing. And that's how I met Alicia and Rock." Kip said as Alicia walked up behind the two, "..How long for you, Alicia?
Hmm, let me think...doing mission, then after the task, I joined." She said, walking off, and then Mark looked towards Rock, who was wiping down a shotgun, "Oh, Rock has been with Ambrose before myself and Alicia; he can't talk." Kip replied.
A few hours passed as they were all sitting at a table making more weapons made of silver, "Last set of bullets." Alicia, as she got up from the table to the weapon rack and placed the bullets there, said, "Mark, you should head home and get some rest because when the hunt begins, there's no telling when that good rest will be available." Kip said as Mark got up to his feet. Checking the time, "...Yeah, you're right. I will see you guys later." he replied as he left.
Back at the hospital, Ambrose was in his vehicle across the street, looking out the window towards the building and looking around while smoking. Fifteen minutes later, he got a text; looking at his phone, he gave one last look before driving off. Minutes later, Ambrose was outside his vehicle looking at the Chicago Skyway bridge till he heard a voice, "...Is everything playing out?" Ambrose tuned, "All according to plan." taking a puff to see that it was Abigor standing there, "That's good, let's stick with the plan...for now.
We must stop James and the other werewolves before the full moon.
No worry, Ambrose, play your part and leave the rest to me." Abigor said as he walked off; Ambrose took another puff, taking out his cell phone and texting Kip (The cards have been played).
