Chapter 8

Ambrose held a group meeting at The Cave the following day: "Okay, listen up, tonight is the night of the full moon. We must end this because werewolves are even more powerful than usual on full moon nights. They are so damn powerful they put fear in grand vampires. We're splitting up in teams again; listen to me when we meet back here at nightfall. Do I make myself clear with that? We meet here." He said as they all gave him a sign of understanding.

"Meeting is over." Ambrose said, lighting up a smoke as he walked off, "I'll be back, guys, going to see the old man." Mark said, leaving while the others carried on with their own business.

At Genesis & Riley's townhome, Rollins & James also deeply discussed the spiritual realm. They were all in the living room as James gave them a short version explaining things: "Demons are spirits who can live inside people and take total control of them. They are the angels who joined Satan, and all got kicked out of Heaven. By being werewolves' supernatural beings, we benefit from smelling them. They explained why the one you & Rollins fought smelled different.

Rollins, still trying to wrap his head around this, "Like I was saying earlier, vampires and werewolves. Also, a small part of people of magic...but demons. I used to think that the bible was all made up in a way.... What the hell?"

Why is that Rollins?

Where I grew up, my dad didn't allow that in the house; I was only told about us werewolves, vampires, and hunters." Rollins answer.

Riley looked at James with curiosity, "How do you know so much about all this?

It's a long story, but I'll give you a shortcut version. I'm part of a group they have been around for many years and is known for fighting against evil besides vampires and rage wolves.

A group?" Genesis replied, striking his interest, "The Secret Society.

Rollins said as James slightly chuckled, "You can say that this Society has been around for centuries, like I said before. Their sole purpose is to fight the frontlines against all evil. Hmmm, sounds like the name of superheroes.... Justice League or The Avengers."

So, you and your talking friend are part of this Society group?

Yeah, we were on a case tracking down a demon. Enenra is its name, the monster of smoke." James said, "Okay, but we need to focus more on stopping these hunters... There's more to them than the eye.

...Okay, what about this demon of smoke?

Don't worry about Enenra; I'll deal with him, Riley." James replied, "The full moon is tonight as well." Riley said as James & Genesis looked at each other, "...They were trying to take us all out because of the full moon." James replied, "What's our move James?" Genesis asked waiting, "... You all sit tight for now; I must make a stop before we do anything." James walks out of the townhome.

James left while Rollins & Riley looked at each other, "... Yo, what the hell, demons.... like actual demons?" Rollins, still a little unbelief by it all, Genesis got up to his feet, "Rollins, you heard him. They're a lot going on out there. And we are now on the battlefield; listen, damn the jokes. We need to focus. I'm not in the mood for losing other people I love.... you and Riley are the only family left.... everyone else is gone, thanks to their assholes.

..... We should wait until James returns. Riley asked as she got up, and Genesis walked towards her, "Yes, sweetheart, that's exactly what we will do. We need to play this thing safe, and James is the only person who experiences this type of shit." Grabbing her by the face and giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Meanwhile, Mark was revisiting his father at the hospital before the big showdown tonight, "I saw you on the news earlier; it's sad what happened to all those young men and women.
