Narrator's POVHave you ever felt like it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year?
Well, it's like that with Lisa Manoban.
Almost a year ago, Lisa was fired from her job because she assaulted her drunk jackass boss from protecting a co-worker. 6 months after, with all her savings, she decided to have her own business which is an internet cafe shop.
She thought after being fired, owning a business was finally a turning point in her life but a month after, her girlfriend broke up with her because of their indifferences. But then, 2 weeks later, she found out there was a third party in their relationship.
So, the unlucky Lisa has been wasting away her life with alcohol each night. One night, she drowned herself in alcohol at the usual pub she had been spending her nights at for the past months.
She was about to head home when she heard the voice of a woman shouting and it came from the dark alley near the pub. She went to check where she heard the voice and saw 3 men harassing a woman.
Without thinking, Lisa immediately came in between those men and tried to save the woman but even though Lisa knew self-defense, she was too drunk to fight those men. One of them hit Lisa with a bottle on the head and the rest started beating her to a pulp.
When those men saw blood coming from the Thai's head, they panicked and left both Lisa and the woman alone. Lisa was lying on the ground and she looked almost lifeless already.
The woman that Lisa rescued immediately called for help and hurriedly went to the nearest hospital. Lisa suffered from a deadly concussion and was losing a lot of blood but good thing they arrived in the hospital just in time.
The threat of losing Lisa's life inside the ICU was no longer an issue except it's been 2 months already and she still hasn't woken up from a coma. According to the doctors, if they arrived a few minutes late, Lisa might have lost her life already.
Lisa's POV
"Hey, good morning." I greeted her as soon as I opened my eyes.
She was already awake and I was woken up by her fingers stroking my hair.
"Good morning." She greeted me back with her loving voice. That sweet and comforting voice is my favorite sound in the world.
She then leaned closer and kissed me on the lips. She kissed me passionately and I immediately reciprocated her kiss. She tasted so sweet and it's quite addictive. Then I remembered something that made me pull away.
"I haven't brushed my teeth yet." I said to her and she chuckled.
"I don't care." She said as she cupped my face and started kissing me again.
After we devoured each other, she kissed me on my forehead before she stood up from our bed. I just watched her and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I don't think there's a time that she doesn't look good.
I just stared at her lovingly as she put on my hoodie jacket. It's my college jacket back in university. It's her favorite and she always wears it even if it's too big on her. It looks like a dress whenever she wears it.
I couldn't help but smile like an idiot at her sight.
"Sleep some more while I cook breakfast for us." She said while she was tying her hair in a bun and exposing her white silky neck.
