Taehyung parked his car in front of his house and walked inside. He had sent Hoseok to the UK to convince Ara and her family. Ara had returned home when she learned that Hoseok loved Yoongi.
"Appa," Jimin rushed to him, showing a picture on his phone. "Mom's wedding dress. Is it beautiful? I asked them to write your name on it." He zoomed in on the picture, revealing "Mr. Kim" written on the dress. Taehyung smiled and said, "It's good."
"In your dress too, Mrs. Jeon." Jimin giggled and asked, "Ahha... Dada, I want to see Uncle Yoongi. Can I go?"
"Of course you can," Taehyung hugged his son and made him sit on his lap. He then asked, "If I say something, can you obey me?"
Jimin looked at him and inquired, "What is it, Appa?"
Taehyung explained, "We need to postpone the marriage. You know Uncle Yoongi's condition is very bad, and it will take time to heal. Until then, we need to postpone the marriage."
Jimin agreed, saying, "That's it... Okay, Appa. I will wait. I also have a lot of time to arrange everything." The boy was excited. He then asked, "Who is in the hospital? Is it seoky?"
Taehyung replied, "Hobi went to London."
"Then? Is Mom alone there? Oh no... He must be crying, Appa... Why did you leave him alone? You know he's very sensitive. You should stay with him." Jimin was concerned about his mother, but he never had worries for his father.
"No, baby. Mina Aunty and Uncle Kai are with him."
Jimin pouted and said, "But he wants me and you."
Taehyung didn't say anything, he just hugged his son to his chest.
"Appa, I am sleepy," Jimin mumbled and crawled himself to his father's chest. After a few minutes, the boy fell asleep, and Taehyung carried him to his room.
"Tae," Jin called him, "Both of you have many reasons to postpone the marriage, but don't forget about that child."
"I know, Papa," Taehyung replied, "But... You know... He didn't believe me."
Jin asked Taehyung to sit beside him and said, "Tae, what else can he do? You were hiding something from him, especially about his brother. You know how much those boys love each other. So it's a natural response. You need to help him understand the situation. Don't let a fight come between you."
"But why does he believe a stranger more than me? Chan! That bastard," Taehyung gritted his teeth.
"Who believes Chan? You or him? You asked Chan to move a business proposal to Yoongi and his betrayed you.... Taehyung, you're trying to hide your fault and blame Jungkook. How many times have I told you not to trust Chan and his family?"
Taehyung looked down and admitted, "But still... I begged him, Pappa. I just asked him to wait until Yoongi wakes up."
Jin continued, "Tae, why are you hiding everything from Jungkook? It's to save your brother. That's what Jungkook has done as well. He loves you, Tae. He knows how much you've suffered alone and how much you've done for him and his family. That's why he forgave you, that's why he loves you. Forget about that. This is the time he needs support. Don't let him feel alone."
"I was supporting him all those years, Pappa, and I need support too."
"Tae... Why are you like this?" Jin said, and suddenly Taehyung embraced him. "I'm so tired, Pappa... Why does everyone behave like this towards me? Chan... He was my best friend, but he was waiting for a chance to break me. Hobi... We are just one year apart, and I treated him like a little brother, but you know what he did behind my back. He wanted revenge. And Jungkook... I understand his situation, but he didn't believe me, Papa, even after I begged him. I kept everything hidden, not only for Hobi but for my company. I've worked day and night to build my business like this. Even my son is starting to hate me. If my Appa were alive, at least he would stand by my side." Taehyung cried as he shared his pain with his step mother .
That broke Jin's heart. He knew the boy had grown up with a lot of insecurities and fears. "Tae... I'm here for you. It's okay. Leave all that," Jin comforted him, patting his back gently. "Papa will speak with Jungkook. Don't worry."
But nothing seemed to calm the crying man. Taehyung was truly tired, exhausted by all the things happening around him.
Jungkook wiped his eyes repeatedly, but his tears wouldn't stop. Yeonjun was sleeping in the bed, and Jungkook sat in a corner of the room, hugging himself tightly. He believed that his life was cursed, that he didn't deserve any happiness or love. Everything frightened him, and he felt lost, not knowing what to do next. Jungkook cried silently, careful not to make a sound, not wanting his brothers to hear his pain.
*************
Jungkook whispered Yoongi's name, his voice trembling as he called out to his brother. Slowly, Yoongi's eyes blinked open, struggling to focus.
"It's me, hyung. You're alright. Look at me," Jungkook reassured him.
Yoongi tried to fix his vision on his brother, mumbling, "I... I am... s-sorry."
The doctor gently inquired, "What is it? Do you want to say anything?"
"I'm sorry, hyung," Yoongi mumbled, his breathing stabilizing.
"Don't feel sorry, Yoongi. Your hyung forgives you. We just want you to get healthy," the doctor comforted him.
A single tear rolled down Yoongi's cheek in response.
With the medicine working effectively, Yoongi's breathing returned to normal. However, he seemed to carry some emotional trauma from his ordeal.... "Prepare to support him. He may be dealing with some emotional trauma now." Doctor said to Jungkook and Yeonjun.
Jungkook nodded, holding back tears, determined to be there for his brother.
The doctor reassured him, "Be brave. We'll help your brother regain his old self. I promise." A warm smile accompanied the words.
"Thank you, doctor," Jungkook said, taking a deep breath. He looked at Yeonjun and couldn't help but wonder, "If our appa and Eomma were still alive, they would be here with us, right?" His voice faltered, and his words were cut off by a sob. They embraced each other, finding solace in their shared grief.
