A faint whimper left my lips as my hands roamed through his curly black hair. The kiss was passionate yet wild and exciting all at once.

All of a sudden, I started to hear a  strange beeping sound coming from somewhere.

I pulled away from his moist plump lips for air and said," Do you hear that?".

"Hear what?".

"That beeping sound," I said as he kissed my neck.

He stopped kissing my neck, gave me a peck on my cheek, and said," Open your eyes my love."

"Open my eyes? My eyes are open. "

"You have to open your eyes."

I started to open my eyes and realized that there was no hot sexy guy that I was having a hot makeout session with anywhere in sight.

I was still in my bed, sweating might I add, and the beeping sound was my alarm screaming at me to wake up.

"Ugh! That was such a good dream and you ruined it phone". As I spoke to the inanimate object.

I turned off my alarm and covered my head with my comforter, wishing I could go back to that dream and finish it off, but we all know that sometimes that never happens, and it becomes a distant memory.

I picked up my phone again and squinted my eyes to check the time. I groaned when I saw it was 5 a.m.

I have to get up now because I still have to pack for my trip back to my small town called Mayberry Falls in Canada. I'm going to spend Christmas with my family and hopefully get some inspiration for my next book.

I got up and put on a playlist because that's the only way one can survive waking up at 5 a.m. to do anything.

Packing on the day of a trip makes me so mad but I procrastinated doing it before so it's on me. But I never know what to pack. It's a nightmare.

I finally finished packing so I cleaned up the house and got myself ready in time for my best friend to take me to the airport.

At 7 a.m. my best friend Chisom Abara walked into my living room. Her dark skin was glowing from her recent birthday trip from Miami.

"HEYY. You ready to go?" She asked me while hugging me.

"No, but yes," I said while laughing.

She grabbed one of my suitcases and walked out the door saying " You'll be fine. You'll get so much inspiration that will last you for two books".

I grabbed the rest of my stuff and placed it outside, turned off all the lights except the ones outside locked my doors, and said," I love your enthusiasm but I would be lucky to even get some inspiration for my opening sentence".

I got into the car and she handed me a cup.

"Got you the Christmas special you wanted".

"I will cry right now. Thank you," I said as I took the Christmas drink that she bought for me from Starbucks.

"Alright. Let's get going,".

When we got to the airport, she waited while I checked my bags in. When I was ready to go to my gate, we said our goodbyes.

"Please don't be cooped up in your house for the whole time you're there. Go outside and explore and just go with the flow of things okay," She said while giving me the biggest hug.

"I will," I said hugging her back.

"See you in the New Year bitch," She said as she walked out of the airport.
