Nathan
Zola was shocked that those presents were not her Christmas presents so I said, "Wanna open your presents?" I said.
"Nathan. You honestly didn't have to do any of this".
I got up and got the presents and sat back down on the couch and gave the first one to Zola.
She opened it up and I said," I do hope it's your size.
"You got me a bikini. I'm surprised you got the correct size. Should I be worried about a stalker?" She said laughing a bit and so did I.
"But it's the middle of winter. WAIT. Unless there is an indoor pool" Zola said with excitement.
"No. It's a heated pool" I corrected her.
"No wayy!" Zola said freaking out and I laughed.
I gave her the second gift and she opened it and saw it was a robe.
"This is so soft".
I gave Zola her second to last gift and it was a blanket.
"I am going to fall asleep in this. It's so comfortable".
I chuckled a bit and gave her the last one which was a mug set that she wanted to get in the mall but it was too expensive but it was a cute design.
Her words, not mine.
"NATHAN!" She gasped.
"Yes, my love".
"No you didn't. This is so expensive. Why did you get it? When did you get it?".
"Yesterday".
She placed the mug set down and gave me the tightest hug.
"Thank you thank you thank you for the surprises and gifts. I couldn't ask for anything better".
"It's worth it just to see that gorgeous smile on your face".
"Where's the pool?".
I got up and held her hand in mine and took her through the back door and showed her the pool.
There were globe-string lights that hung from the ceiling.
I then showed Zola the rest of the place and when we were in our room I asked her, "Today is all about you. I see that the fridge is stocked so I'm going to make us dinner but tomorrow we have plans though".
"We are not going to eat the food that your friend Jack put here for his family".
"Well I mean unless you plan to eat me for dinner, I'm game".
She rolled her eyes and said, "Shut up".
"What? Did I not taste good the last time? Cause I know damn well how good you tasted" I said teasing her.
"Can you go make the food," She said pushing me out of the room and I laughed.
I went downstairs and started making dinner. I was almost done when Zola came into the kitchen and hugged from behind trying to see the food that was on the stove.
"It smells really good," Zola said resting her head on my back.
"You see. We have come a long way. You didn't want to eat my food because it would be poisoned".
And she laughed. We finished eating and I said I wanted to go take a shower because I felt icky after cooking.
When I finished taking a shower, I came out and Zola was not in bed which is where she was before I went in.
