Blue dragons descend from the extraordinary Gormfaileas line. Known for their formidable size, they are the most ruthless, especially in the case of the rare Blue Daggertail, whose knifelike spikes at the tip of their tail can disembowel an enemy with one flick.

It seemed that the long list of people that wanted to kill her continued to grow longer, and she had no doubt that Xaden Riorson was currently at the top.

Although, Vesta mused, that Barlowe was a close second.

The prick very obviously couldn't take being but in his place well. She could feel his murderous stare pinned on her form as she moved to join the rest of the cadets.

Vesta made sure to beeline for Rhiannon and Violet so they could trade boots before taking care of the Little one's knee. She could tell the poor thing was in pain, her features twisted in a grimace as she limped around.

As she was finishing up lacing her shoe, Vesta noticed a vaguely familiar, tall and leanly muscled male call out to Violet.

"Violet?"

The male reached to grab her small frame, but Vesta darted in between them, her dagger beneath his chin and her teeth bared in a snarl.

"Keep those hands to yourself Aetos."

His brow furrowed in confusion, "Melgren? Wha... What are you doing? Why are you with Violet? What the hell is happening right now?"

Vesta's grip on her knife tightened as she hummed and pressed closer, making him stumble back a step. "Curious... So your father didn't inform you? Sorrengail is under my protection, and your dirty little paws aren't coming near her."

His disbelief only seemed to deepen as he whipped his head to Violet, "Is this true Vi? Why would your mother chose her of all people..."

His speculation made her bristle and press her knife harder to the skin of his throat. "Mind your tone, Aetos. We don't need you here, get lost."

At the sight of a thin line of blood dribbling down the male's throat, Violet shot forward and grabbed a hold of Vesta's shoulder, struggling to pull her back.

"Vesta please. He can help! We have to go to formation, and he can help me a lot faster than you can." Her doe eyes pleaded with Vesta to understand

Blast this girl and those eyes. Vesta knew she was right, Aetos had access to what Violet needed faster than she did at the moment. Despite the act going against every bone in her body, Vesta conceded and drew her dagger back to herself.

"Well, be quick with it Aetos, I want her back in one piece and in formation in ten minutes. if she's not... i'm coming for you."

The males eyes widened, and mumbled something to Rhiannon about being placed in his squad before he grabbed Violet's hand and sped off, the girl limping behind him.
