God, I hate Lima, Ohio.

Okay, hate is a strong word. Ileana can't stand Lima, Ohio. School sucks except for maybe cheerleading, and everyone there seems to be a bully.

Before Ileana Pillsbury even walked through the front doors, she saw Karofsky throwing a pale brunette boy into the dumpster. Popular people throw slushies at the less popular just for fun. You can't be different, or you're shamed and humiliated.

A certain freshman best friend walked up next to Ileana. "Why are you looking so depressed? It's barely the second week of school." Tina Cohen-Chang asked. The redhead glanced over at her bestie and gave her a small smile.

It's nice that Tina trusts the sophomore enough to not have her fake stutter around Ileana.

"I'm not T, it's just... I'm thinking about the bad schoolwork that I'm going to get." Ileana shrugged. Tina scoffed as they approached the redhead's locker.

"Ileana please, I know you." The goth leaned against the lockers. "We've been friends since kindergarten. You can't hide anything from me."

Once Ileana got her books out, she turned to Tina. "Fine, you really wanna know?" Tina then gave her the duh look in response. The cheerleader sighed before answering.

"I just..." Ileana closed her locker door before continuing. "Something feels like it's missing."

Ileana started to walk off, which was followed Tina followed hot on her tail. "But what could possibly be missing from your, life Little Miss Popular?" She asked in disbelief. "You have everything a teenage girl could want."

"I really don't know, T. It's unexplainable really." Ileana said before stopping in front of her world history class. "By the way, I really like what you did with your hair. The blue looks good on you."

Tina's face turned into a flustered shade of pink. "Um, thanks, Ana. I'm gonna go to, uh, English now." The goth quickly turned around and scurried a little down the hallway. Then, out of the blue, she looked back. "Also, let me know about it later!"

Ileana giggled as she walked into her class. Unbeknownst to the sophomore however, Tina was hit with an icy cold cherry slushie right after Ileana entered the classroom.

Poor Tina, it's barely first period.

At lunch, Tina came up to Ileana, looking somewhat worried. "I heard about the pipe explosion in your apartment complex. You good?"

"Yeah I'm-"

"Who's this Ileana?" Santana came up and put an arm around the redhead. Then she gave Tina a glare which Ileana could have sworn made Tina go pale.

Ileana scoffed and looked at her other best friend friend. "My friend Santana. Back off."

The Latina put her arms up in fake surrender before walking away, but not before giving Tina one last judgmental glare. Ileana rolled her eyes as Tina just stood there in shock.
