03. Closeness

They are enjoying the movie but then Phana saw how Mingkwan clenching his fist the whole time and the way Mingkwan flinched and tries to close his eyes everytime that a ghost appears on the screen. 

He moved forward and whisper to Mingkwan, “Are you scared?” 

Mingkwan open his eyes and looks at Phana, he nodded his head lightly. 

Phana blinks, it was the first time he saw Mingkwan with this look. 'He must be really scared' Phana said in his mind and then hold Mingkwan's hand. He even smile so that it can ease what Mingkwan's feels. 

Mingkwan tries to calm himself but he can't still bring up to look at the screen so he just look on his lap and sometimes eat some popcorn. Phana squeeze his hand everytime the ghost or something shocking happened in the screen. 

Levi looks at his right side and then not to far from his seat he saw his friend—Mingkwan, he was kind of confused why he saw Phana holding Mingkwan's hand but he didn't say anything, he just look straight at the screen to watch the movie. Mingkwan is his friend but for him, he didn't really care whatever Mingkwan do as long as he is not hurting himself, or he didn't cause any trouble that will bring him to do risky things. 

When the movie ends, they go outside the cinema together.

“The movie is so good!” Rei said, she likes it.

“Nah, season 1 is still the best.” Neo said and then pulls Pali, “Want some ice cream!” he said to him. 

“Okay.” he said and then looks at his friends. “Do you want some ice cream too?”

“Your treat?!” Rei asked excitedly. 

Pali shakes his head, “Of course not! It was your treat, you said it earlier.”

Levi laughs along with Frenz, “I want some ice cream too.” Frenz said to Pali but Pali just stare at him.

“Then get yours. Rei's treat.” he said and pulls Rei to go with him, “You'll buy so you need to be there.”

“ARGH! I HATE YOU ALL!” Rei said. She regrets inviting her friends to go to the mall. If she knows that this is the worst place, she shouldn't do it. There's too many things to buy here and her allowance is at risks. 

Neo followed them while laughing. Levi look at his brother and said, “He asked if we want but he's not the one who will bring the ice cream to us. Geez, what a nice friend he is.” Frenz also laughs and pulls his brother to followed their friends. 

Phana looks at Mingkwan now, they are the only one who stay there. “Aren't you going to follow them? They will have an ice cream.” 

Mingkwan looks at him. He is too tired and the only thing he wants is to rest. He was lacks of sleep and he was still scared from what he saw in the movie. 

“Urgh! I want to sleep!” Mingkwan said and then looks at his friends direction. “Hayst, I don't have choice though. Let's go!” he said and pulls Phana to follow him.

Phana smile while looking at the six juniors in his front, they keeps on talking and making fun of each other while eating the ice cream. They are sitting on the chairs. Phana likes this feeling, he feels comfortable talking with them some times if they asks him anything.

Not too far from their location, Lam looks at them, curiously. He's curious because he saw Phana without Beam and Kit but not alone because he is with their junior on their faculty. 

It was coincidence actually. He planned to buy shirt as a gift for the twins—Wai and Wan because their birthday is near. He don't really like giving gifts but he was forced to buy something since he choose Dare when they are playing truth or dare game last night in the bar. Wan's dare is to give a gift in their upcoming birthday. One each so he don't have any choice.
